Personal mobility aids: 5 recommendations to limit misuse

Those are some of the recommendations proposed by the Active Mobility Advisory Panel to prevent the misuse of such devices by able-bodied people. Other concerns include speeding, dangerous riding and overly large mobility aids.

Very good 👍👍👍👍👍👍 Personal Mobility scooter is for handicap and elderly... Not for those lazy people who refused to walk or cycle...
Just have to be more tolerance as Singapore ages but many pma users who not very abled are causing unnecessary inconvenience to others.
Lack of enforcement, laws meant nothing 😂
Yeah. 1. I have seen 35+able overweight guy riding the PMD at the higher speed. 2. I have seen family of 3 riding the PMD. 3. It’s good to have these restrictions only for those who needs it.

I've seen disabled rider riding to S'pore Pools to buy lottery and transformed from disabled to able bodied. Miracle does happen when least expected
Some of users RACED in them. Lost symphathy for them. They block entrances and exits. Making inconvenient for pedestrains to walk and being honked at.
So just wondering those so called oversize PMA ppl buy from where??they individually get the PMAs to be shipped over to SG or they buy frm SG shop tat pays taxes n rentals to SG gov??
No use one…still got someone break the rules…😇

Hmmm.. I've always wonder why are there so many young and disabled people nowadays. And they are mostly doing food delivery, is there no better jobs around for these disabled youngster? Some of them looks fit, what a pity to know that they have walking difficulties.
Without an outright ban, there will be more accidents and fires. Good luck. Blame the transport minister and lta.
Govt say need to get medical memo from doctor to proof need for PMA, only can hope govt insist it be from a specialist in a govt hospital. Imagine if they allow just any GP memo, people go to any clinic, claim leg injured 50 years ago, fake a limp, gp already has 20patients waiting outside. How will gp confirm if injury is true, if suspect its fake and try to deny the memo, end up the person sure make noise cause a scene. Most GPs will just give the memo

Some Old Folks Can Walk But Lazy To Do So...Some Rented Out For Others To Use...Some Modify Illegally To Enhanced The Speed....I Recommended That PMAs Be Use Fur Those Old Folks With Amputated Leg And Those With Critical Conditions That Prevents Them To Walk Properly With Certified Documents From Hospitals...LTA Should Move In To Curbs This As PMDs Or PMAs Are Really Abused By Old Folks...
