Persona 3 FES Review: One More Waifu Rejected

Ойындар

Finally the video is out. Sorry if it took a bit long.
Everything took about a month to record, with additional bits having to be recorded.
Mainly a lot of the smaller details were recorded because I had over 100 hours of footage.
Crazy, huh?
It would have been made faster but certain issues arose which took a few days out of my schedule.
Sometime into my review, about the final stretch, my microphone broke and I realized I had to rerecord
Never did it occur to me that my mic would break, I mean it was just 5 months old.
Originally I estimated that it would take maybe two to three weeks to finish everything up after recording.
The thing is though that there's hardly any time to record in the house when it's not loud as hell.
Currently I'd like to continue making more reviews so I hope you guys stick with me
All of the people who subscribed to me for Robopon, sorry if you expected me to make something more like that.
Not that I don't want to revisit the franchise some day, but I want to make reviews of games I really enjoyed.
One day I hope to make successful reviews of really unknown games, such as some real forgotten gems.
Never the less I thank everyone for watching the video and hopefully you stick around.
Have a great day :)

Thank you! I wouldn't put it that high, because it implies perfection but I appreciate that it did well even if we didn't fully see eye to eye.

13:15 I feel like if you aren't allowed to play a certain difficulty, Atlus wouldn't put the options there. The example you gave with the concert was quite funny. I just think some gaming communities expect everyone to play a game a certain way, which isn't totally bad thing, but it also is limiting. I'll definitely check out the Persona series when I have time to

There is some degree of that in a lot of communities. I get frustrated when I see people not using the AI mechanics at all and then complaining about the AI, but I feel that's more of a failure to understand the mechanics than a playstyle decision.

@@Mint_Condition okay, so first of all... what? I meant, I just, this game is, what? There's like these weird shadow monsters with four arms? And then you touch one and you enter a battle with a tank? A f--king tank??? And then, like, these teenagers play russian roulette with like, an actual gun to summon, like, gods? I mean... just... what?

@@treehousegames7903 Yeah. Think about it like this, right? So you have these things called "Personas", and this is jungian terminology. Essentially the outward personality, where as the shadow is the inner self that you don't really see. What they've done is take this intangible concept of personality and turned it into a literal monster that you can fight. They also had budget restraints, so they had to go with enemies that could be rebranded from floor to floor. A number of enemies are only slightly different. As for the thing about gods and guns, this can be explained too. You see, gods are quite literally an interpretation of mankind. I know some people will take this as "edgy", however if you look into the origin of all religions it can be traced back to Hermeticism, which all of the abrahamic religions either directly or indirectly pay tribute to. In the hermetic texts it is explicitly stated that the universe is the mind, and as such is subject to human thought. In other words, you can manifest reality by thinking about it. Gods are a form of this, and in a way are a face of humanity. The persona is a mask, or the outward face. Gods and mythological figures as a face are an exaggeration of this idea, I imagine. Now the gun has story reasons that are a bit hard to explain. It ties into the themes of Momento Mori in an outward sense, but it feels kind of off, like it was thrown in just to look cool. Without going too deep into it, there's a story reason why this is the only game in the series to have you use an evoker. Later on you can see members of the Persona 3 cast use their Personas without one, that that's because the evoker is an unnecessary crutch. It's never explicitly stated why they're used, but the reason can be inferred by asking yourself a few questions.
