If anyone is wondering, iwatotai dorm got new inhabitants after those 7 years because in P4A, we saw from ken's pov that he got funding from mitsuru to bring the dorm back. But we also know that ken just wanted to feel like he was back home in that time w/makoto 😭

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the reason mikoto dies in the ending of P3 because the director of the game had something happen and not expecting him to make it his family all came to see him before the end? I'm asking as that's the reason I remember someone telling me.

nah i got an even funnier idea: one day when S.E.E.S are out fighting shadows for some reason or another alongside aigis who would then of course be fully aware of makoto's revival all the while no one else knew, as the gang proceeds to fight their target alongside aigis, they randomly see orpheus appear out of nowhere and rush in which they would be flabbergaster because aigis would have her original persona from before the answer but then knowing it was orpheus would suddenly realize just WHO it was that summoned them as makoto just casually walks up beside them all and they proceed to clap shadow cheeks as a team for old time's sake

Elizabeth is out there, spending almost every waking moment trying to find out how to bring him back without inviting catastrophe. Aigis, with a human heart, is a machine. She's patient. She'll wait as long as it takes.

Maruki's reality really was a blessing in disguise

I wonder if Atlus is building up to a moment like this. I keep seeing people say they might be, but those can always be just theories. Either way. Great job Jespo! I just finished P3P recently so this is specifically tender for me.

I mean, theories aside, Elizabeth Is (canon) doing who knows what, Arena-Ultimax Is the last glimpse about It, but still. If they ever want to do something like It, will take time and a good reason (real world development-finances). Still the P2MC had It worse and no one talks about him e.e

@@CasualLeagueI don't disagree but remember Persona 2 came out in the very early 2000s nearly 2 decades ago. There also hasn't been a modern P2 remake that was decent meanwhile Atlus pushes P3, 4, and 5 because that's the direction they wanna take the franchise. P1-P2 were more SMT games than what Persona would become, and are so different in some aspects I'd argue they are kinda different series entirely.

Although that would be cool, I think it would undermine the games message of death, since makoto dies it would undo the work of the characters overcoming their grief death in the answer, after all the main theme for persona 3 is death

No but wait this makes so much sense! This is totally what Maruki's reality did for Aigis. She'd obviously still be alive by the time P5 rolls around, and it wouldn't be far-fetched to say that her deepest desire would be to see Makoto again.

so essentially this is a pseudo what-if based on an idea of elizabeth keeping her promise she makes to bring makoto back (something that was hinted at in persona 3 reload but not in any previous adaptation if im recalling correctly)

@@yoya3748 Nyx isn't the personification of death. Nyx is a cognitive god that represents humanity's desire to die. If humanity lost that desire then Nyx's power would vanish. Similar to how Izanami was defeated by those who sought the true unfiltered truth and Jaldabaoth was defeated by those who desired to break all the chains that would hold them down. Nyx herself isn't technically being sealed as Makoto is more acting as a barrier for another cognitive being that functions as a herald as revealed in P4A. What people seem to forget is in the world of shadows you power is only as powerful as your will and strength of heart. Messiah is only as strong as it is because Makoto forged the bonds he did and channeling that power and his desire to protect his friends created the great seal

@@5_marvelrinaldi621 ... you know? That actually sounds like a good way to deal with thr situation. Make Elizabeth understand the sacrifice Makoto did. Not just for humanity but for his loved ones. She's someone who is unbound by time and space, so maybe to her, this concept is somewhat alien but tries her best to understand it. Until another journey makes her comprehend what the strenght of the heart allows one to do if it means their loved ones will be ok... only now she understand this concept unlike before where she only saw it happen with Makoto. Thus taking his place and letting him come back with his friends and lead a normal life if he wants or another one of adventure alonside them. Maybe her mentioning that she doesn't mind since for her, time is meaningless... but most importantly, after understanding the feeling of love and self sacrifice, she really wants to give him another chance. ... that would be a sweet way to deal with this without undermining Makoto's sacrifice nor message. If a god like being understood the pain and love a human had when they willingly became a seal to avoid humanity's destruction, then it means even non humans can understand life (even if Aigis, Teddie and Labrys already exist in this case)

And to think joker and his friend stopped this from happening .

For that to happen, it would require Erebus eradicated... but that thing is the manifestation of everyone's collective will to end theirselves. It's part of our nature as humans to think about that at leaat once in our lives. For Erebus to be dealt with, either humanity muat be extinguished or Erebus must be nuked every single second like Tien did with semi perfect Cell. Not saying there isn't a way but as of now, it doesn't look like there will be a way for Makoto to come back.

To everyone’s saying something like this should never happen as it completely undermines the core message of Persona 3’s story, shut up and let the toaster and emo messiah have their emotional reunion.

Makoto died at the age of 17, and this comic takes place during the end of P5, Makoto is now 24. And to where Makoto is going now, he'll be helping the Shadow Operatives.

I think Elizabeth is coming back next for her kiss as well.

Cute but lets be real, the protagonists death made the game 10x better. It was the entire point of the game to accept that your time is limited and to use it wisely.

Man this hit me right in my heart. So bittersweet I wish this was cannon, but an amazing comic either way 💙💛
