    Oh yeah, especially when his "investments" Valeant fell of the cliff of stupidity, or when his shorting of Herbalife went sooooo well. How many billions did he loose now? 4-7 maybe 10 bill. If there was ever a definition of shyster, he is the shining example of it.

    Interesting clip. I don't often get the chance to see Bill Ackman at his best but this was a good one. If only he could put his brains and acumen into proxy battles I care about, it could really be something. I say this as a BEAR on Ackman since the Canadian Railroad business proxy fight (where I voted against Pershing EVERY SINGLE TIME only to see management crumble and then Ackman be proven right). RIP Hunter. But the Herbalife situation was literally a bridge too far and I look forward to see Ackman 2.0 in a year or two when he really comes out of his Zen Meditation phase he is in now really firing on all cylinders and hopefully in a fight I am on his side. GE anyone?

    Why does Ackman rub me the wrong way? Harvard business school and on the wrong side of both Valeant and Herbalife. Nowhere near Ivy League educated and I could have flipped a coin on both of those companies and had a better chance of success.

    @@PS-vc2yz amazing excuse. „Wasn’t born into wealth“. Well he wasn’t born Into billions. 😂 also he had to work to earn anything. and btw, pretending someone’s success somehow isn’t validated because they had money to start with is born out of massive jealousy and it’s really a bad look.

    Phase Ackman ever tried to start and run an actual business that develops, produces and markets a product? How about maybe toothpaste? Let's see how well he does.

  • @leoxd7029

    @leoxd7029

    Thank you for revealing your ignorance. 😊Just because you don’t understand the Value (product or service) a business provides, doesn’t mean there is none. Pretending an investment firm is „an actual business“ is just wrong. There is no legal way of making money that doesn’t provide value to the market/society. In other words, he’d do really well, but why would he provide value that way when he can provide 10x, 20x, 100x the value by investing in 10,20 businesses, which provide value to customers, and optimizing them? Investors like him provide a lot of value to society and enable good businesses to grow, creating more jobs and value for customers and shareholders. That’s how the game works, that’s exactly what finance is about. Providing value to people. Making things better. You can’t get wealthy if you don’t provide large amounts of value to society.
