David Rubenstein's initial comments on the importance of sound asset diversification and risk management cannot be overstated. I've been trying to grow my portfolio to $100,000 for some time and would welcome any other suggestions.

Yes and no you pay monthly premiums but can sell your policies at any time. He sold out after 1 month. It’s like buying fire insurance on your house, paying 1 mo premium and it burns down a week later. Versus paying for 5 years and it burning down on year 5. That’s why his returns were so high versus the big short where they had to hold the cds from 06-08 and even had to close part of their position to pay redemptions. They even stopped filling redemptions towards the end

I came here to figure out how to invest, after tuning in to a guy on a radio talk about the significance of investing and how he made $520,000 in 3 month from $150k, by one way or another I am still finding it hard to understand the terms used here in this video, I'm a novice and I'm open to ideas on the most proficient method to invest for retirement.

As a 1st generation investor and considering the fact that beginners are prune to mistakes I reached out to a consultant for help, as far as my journey goes, investing is much easier when you have proper guidance, since January till now, I have made at least $200,000 in profit, not much compared to the investor you mentioned but its a good start for me.
