Well, if I'm being honest if you have a family member who has experience on stocks you can ask them, as they would know every nook and cranny. All I can advice you now is to save up money. I managed to save up £2000 in 2 years. I can only thank my parents for that. You should have enough capital to start with.

Isn't VOO and VUG similar in the sense both are investing in the S&P 500? What is the difference? I thought it is generally advised against to invest in multiple ETFs or Mutual Funds?

There is 55% overlap with the holdings in VOO and VUG. 1 is tech heavy and the other is financials heavy similar, but not the same. VOO tracks the S&P 500; VUG is just focused on large cap growth stocks. VUG is a bit more volatile, but with a higher upside potential. VOO is a bit safer. I’ve never heard anyone advise against multiple ETFs/mutual funds. You just have to be aware of overlap. You don't have to act on every forecast, so I'll suggest that you work with a financial advisor who can help you choose the best times to purchase and sell the shares or ETFs you want to acquire.

You buy the stock through the ups and downs, but specially the downs and in a few decades you can become very wealthy.

It seems certain stocks are undervalued, flying under the radar despite their potential. You can't help but wonder when the market will recognize their true worth. How can I invest $600K wisely to ensure our future security?

Dabei sind alle negativen Grafiken merklich ins negative verzerrt siehe 15:50 oder 16:05 . Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others. As an investor, you should've known that by now that nothing beats experience and that's final. Personally I had to reach out to a stock expert for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to $35k, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I'm buying again.

@@CW-lr6wz I myself realised what you spend thousands on for three or four years at university can be purchased for a couple of pounds worth of key text books at the bookshop. The rest is independent learning and on the job training. You save not only money but also time. A lot of degrees, especially the arts and social sciences degrees are a waste. And they keep people in debt and stuck after studies finish.

For the average investor, the stock market is the best tool for long-term wealth creation. Still, many people can’t take advantage of it because they are trying to make quick money from the stock market. I put about $200k into the market and held good positions.

It's always a good time to invest. Just use options to lower your cost basis. Write a puts on a stock you would want to own, eventually you'll lose on the trade and instead of closing the position, you allow it to be exercised. Where you will then be assigned to buy 100 shares. Then, you can hold these shares while selling covered calls. If you do this conservatively and set your orders properly, this strategy can't really lose much. I also can't stress enough how useful day or swing trading micro sized equity futures can be. I can short sell or buy 1 contract of micro DOW (mym) and it's worth .50c per point the dow moves per contract. One can use futures to hedge against losses on options or stock.

I'm struggling in this market. Stocks that I have held for months and made profits from are not behaving the way I'm used to so I’m quite indecisive on how to tackle this market, any advice would be grateful.

Never let someone control your money unless you absolutely trust them. Unless you want to end up like Rihanna. Just focus on “Dollar-Cost Averaging.” Look up “What is Dollar-Cost Averaging? - Investopedia” and read about it.

There are lots of mixed opinions about stocks and there projection in the next coming years, I aim for short term solid gains from market correction and I'd definitely jump on the boat if I knew a thing or two about day-trading, but then again what do I really know? I've shuffled through investment coaches and yes, they can be positively impactful to an individual's portfolio, but do your due diligence to find a coach with grit, one that withstood the 08' crash. For me, ''HEATHER LEE LARIONI'' turned out to be better and smarter than all the advisors I ever worked with till date, I’ve never met anyone with as much conviction.

I have bought so many stocks in individual companies, right now I find it safe to invest in an ETF that tracks the S&P500 and ride it out. I put $180k into some growth stocks with a Financial advisor handling my portfolio. some of my picks are, NVR, LISP.SW, SEB, VOO, DOWJ, BRK-A, AAPL, IVV, NYSE, NASDAQ, TSLA I've gotten 71% return so far this year, I'll see where it goes.. fingers crossed... you have to apply rigorous trading strategies, which you'd have to be a pro for. or else you might lose if you don't know what you doing

​@@Maryam_aam 1) The executives of the company mostly do not benefit from the share price, except if they own shares themselves, or if their pay is based on the share price. 2) The business does not benefit directly from its share price, however, a higher share price... a) Allows it to raise money by creating more shares and selling them to new investors. b) Makes it easier and cheaper to borrow money for expansion. c) Boosts morale among employees who own part of the business. Over the long term, the stock price will roughly follow the real value of the company, but in the short term, it's mostly driven by human emotions. As a general rule: 1) If you are retired, you want share prices to be high, so you are able to sell them and fund your lifestyle. 2) If you are still young and saving for retirement, you want share prices to be low, that way you can buy more shares for the same amount of money. So market crashes and their aftermath are actually a great time to invest.

Maryam مريم She can benefit in only two possible ways: 1)She will get the dividends from the company 2)She may sell the shares for a higher price to some other investor. Often she will benefit in both ways, getting a constant dividend+eventually selling the shares for a higher price.

It's simply going to recover and keep going up. There have been many crashes, COVID-19 is pretty minor actually. Stocks are already recovering rapidly. Tech stocks are making new highs. Compare that to for com boom or housing market crash.
