Those scenes of the mall at Christmas really brought back memories. Sad that kids today will never experience that.
It’s eerily similar to Lakeside Mall. Like cousins…
The Christmas festivities here were better than most malls I’ve been to ever since.
That place is still really nice inside.
The music you chose is such a vibe! Great pick!
Great video man! My car got hit earlier today and this video has helped me calm down and smile a bit. Keep up your great videos!
Gonna miss it.
Congrats on over 34k subs!
It’s sad to see a location that used to be such a hub for socializing of all ages shut down. One of the local malls near me is dying fast and I know why. These malls often REQUIRE tenants to renew their lease and do massive million dollar renovations to their space on top of the increased rent. It’s no wonder they are failing. Greed ruins everything.
Taubman was an awesome mall developer, but had no clue about managing and refreshing perpetually. Very sad, they created some outstanding indoor spaces.
Just the sheer amount of material to be dusposed of is mind blowing. I'd guess 90% of it would not compost or degrade but just lay barried for eternity.
All this is just so very sad. It's very much like Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The last time I was there I noticed how quiet it was, and now it's due to close down forever. Also, this is a well presented video. What was the music used, I really like it?
Been there a million times. I Grew up in Mo. County.
It seems to me that abandoned /closed malls (especially Lake forest's great central location could be refurbished and used as something else that could benefit the local area as long as the structure is general in good condition. I myself worked in 'Hechts I have many good memories there and of the mall. I am sure the structure could be converted into something such as business center or a community service complex I hope the business organizations in Montgomery county can come up with sometime that provides jobs and fills community needs Sad to hear the Mall has closed
This mall looks exactly the same as cherry creek mall in Denver. I wonder if it was built by the same people.

Yup, Taubman!
3 ninjas and the crow on the marquee? I hope I’m misreading that because it couldn’t be possible
