Mentality says the law is they must be on the boat, the breakdown down is not realizing if they wear them they might be life savers. Right?

With a bar crossing with so much potential for loss of life I can't believe that people are not wearing life vests. In Australia it is mandatory crossing potential dangerous bars. Bet old mate with 9 on board didn't have nine vests on hand or for that matter where they were located. Boat tips over it is all ready too late.

Ben Barnett you bet. Life jacket not only saved my life one time but brought me back up just in time before my feet got chopped by the prop. That was 34 yrs ago. Still wearing one today!

We used to go to a Marina in the Summer in Cali just to watch the Drunks TRY TO BACK IN and Load Their Boats.....They had Bleachers there and would hand out paper Plates and a Marker so you could Grade the people from 0 to 10....These were Small Bleachers but they would get Packed....And they got Graded for Trying to Back in.... Usually the Guy would send his Wife or Girlfriend to go get the Trailer and it was Tight just Trying to get the Truck and Trailer lined up.....I was asked about 5 Times to back their trailer in for the Girl.....This was At Orrwood Marina in Brentwood Calif....Fights would Break out once in awhile.....You can go to almost any Marina During the Summer and Something will breakout.... Even backing in the New Boaters Fuck around in the Boating Lane not taking the Straps off or finally getting in the Water and the Plugs not in.....I've had some of the same Shit Happen to me to....The more people the Better...
