@@RichardOliver why? Because I asked him a simple question and he made a smart snarky remark then blocked me. I told him I had a few of his fragrances and loved boss Bastard. Wasn’t initially into it and took time to get to like it. Another seemed too sweet and not as rounded . He took offense to me saying it wasn’t as rounded I suppose.

@@stefankkbarnes interesting . If anything it should be a compliment . But there’s reasons why he won’t review FRAGRANCE DU BOIS. Oud or AOUD, can smell like anything , doesn’t always have to be pissy. Same with PDM & INITIO .

I love whenever Aaron makes an appearance!

He seems so shy compared to when he is by himself in front of the camera. Awesome character.

I've recently gotten a bottle of Onyx Extreme, the longevity is incredible. It blows all other rose oud fragrances out of the water. I have worked 24 hour shifts and get home and take my clothes off and still get strong smells of Onyx dry down. I can not say enough good things about this brand, especially in terms of price with regard to the quality of materials used.

Hey Chris! Absolutely love the video, always a pleasure to ATH (recently purchased Onyx and love it). A possible idea for a future video - not sure you've ever been into the shop 'Bodycare'but they sell the most hilarious bootleg copies of frags "Adventus" and "Le Man" were highlights. Would be amazing to see your and ATHs reactions to them!

That would be awesome! I want to hear it dissected as well! Would love to hear some in-depth thoughts on it. It took me a few times before I understood what I was even smelling. So enchanting and natural- I was lost for a while, still kind of am, but seeing things more clearly as time goes on.

Aarons nose is something else. Spot on.. love watching this

Dude, lovin' the whole professional perfumer angle. Unique, and USEFUL. 👍 (BTW, love the channel title, but I'm thinking "mental" is not as colloquial here as in the the U.K.)

Aaron didn't like Carlisle when he first smelled it in your channel, but now it was the best one for him . That's a great change

@FRAGMENTAL what would you recommend for a 41 yr old male, for an “all rounder” day/night/all year parfum or extrait parfum to last 8-12 hr plus and smell it on clothes days later? It can be niche or designer… I don’t like too dark towards Arabic or the either other way towards Creed Adventus. Is there a tom Ford Oud wood meets YSL Tux, just pure powerful?

TBH the vintage formula of Dior Homme Parfum is probably my strongest powerful fragrance and I have Amouage Interlude too… One spray and that is enough for 24 hours +

There is no vintage formula of DHP. The formula for 2014 and 2020 are still the same only batch changes.

Hi Chris! Do you have a recommendation for something I can use to add a little animalic edge to whatever perfume I'm wearing to increase the performance? Aaron used to have one called Animalix but unfortunately it's discontinued now :( thanks for your great work!

Great video! But I'm curious if anyone else caught this: Aaron said there was one in the line of PDM that he did not enjoy. There's a video that Chris shot with Aaron in the past, and Aaron was repulsed at the smell of Carlisle 😮 It is amazing how on any given day we can smell things differently...though I do think Aaron is softening up with his candid evaluations 😊

noticed exactly the same. As you said on any given day things can smell differently and on top of that people evolve as well. Aaron is getting alot better in conversing what he is smelling too :)

Surprised we didn’t see Zaharoff Leather Tabac on this list.

Might actually be a plus if a perfumer isn't really familiar with the top of the pops. Like Aaron mentioned, it's less noise. But I would imagine that it does increase the probability that one of their creations might be similar to others out there. Otherwise, it's best to stay in the zone. 💪

Please bring aaron back and rate women fragrances..

Amouage Opus XIV Royal Tobacco is so good though, its my favourite scent ever since i bought it 4 months ago. Cecilie Zarokain is so good at making perfumes.

In an older video Aaron hates Carlisle but in this one he likes it.

I don't really get the confused as to why he doesn't know what other houses fragrances smell like. If he went around smelling other fragrances all the time there would undoubtedly be some influence, even if it's unintentional. He is trying to come up with things on his own, that way he's got the best chance of making them smell unique as he's taking the raw elements and putting them together until HE thinks they are perfect. Just like what he said at the end of the video, he's passionate about what he does and wants to make what he enjoys. Naturally I'm sure he's hoping that other people are going to enjoy it too, but I guess it's a risk anyone takes by trying to come up with an original fragrance.
