Perfect Fuel Setup for our Homestead - But is it Everything I Need?
Is this the perfect setup for the money? 58 gallon Vevor fuel tank, storage for our grease gun and grease, plus all the fluids our equipment needs. All organized in an IBC Tote.

I would use the bladder and cut it like a triangle making a cover for the top keeping out some rain.
love the cliffhanger, "were probably gonna talk about"
In my eyes it's a 99% solution. To make it 100% add a fire extinguisher. I know, I know, diesel is not explosive but you just never know. What I do know is that a small fire in dry grass becomes a big problem real quick. But other than that I like it.
An A. B. C. rated fire extingiusher, to put the equipment out or beat back the pile from the stuck/stranded machine.Some hooks for the odd rake, shovel or ax. Also a battery powered light mounted on a pole, for those days when it gets dark before you get done/ finnished.
How about adding pvc pipe for shovels? And a chain saw bracket? All in one system. Im love the idea.
The outro!😂😂😂 I kept smashing my grease tubes, so I used a piece of PVC pipe that they will fit into to store them. I cut a groove lengthwise in the pipe so I can use my finger to slide the grease tube out. It saved me a lot of tubes and a lot of cleaning. You could use some hose clamps to secure the PVC to the tote frame. Stay safe my friend.
Great Setup. If it was me, I would want to add connectors to the batteries of my machines that would let me quick connect the pump instead of having to raise a hood, open a panel etc to connect to the battery. They also make great battery tender connections. I also like the idea I read here about putting tools in something that can double as a seat. Looks like a lot of good ideas floating around in the comments.
If you scrap that sticker off an put on a Kleeman sticker; now it's a $200 Kleeman box!! 😂

Add a battery and a solar charger. Add a small battery operated air pump. Rags or shop towels to check fluids.
Put your grease gun in an old pant leg you cut off, keeps the tool box clean. Keep smilin Mike
That's a great idea Mike. I'd suggest putting an Anderson connector on the pump then running a permanent line to the front of the 755 with another Anderson connector then you won't have to open the hood on the tractor and you'll have quick access power for anything else you dream up for front attachment. You could still keep the clamp connection by putting a connector on the piece you cut off and keeping it in the tool box.
Once you get goats they make a inexpensive goat feeder. You can search it up on line how to build a feeder out of an IBC cage.
LOL, I see you've solved the outro issue. Thanks for the video, always enjoy watching!
Of course you should make a lid of solar panels and a battery for the pump and also use the battery as a jumper pack!
That ending is the best!!!
Atta boy Mike. That looks like a great solution.
Good evening Mike. Great idea. Thanks for sharing.
Cut the top and part of one side out of the bladder and flip it over and use it for a weather resistant cover.
Bonjour Mike trop super tout à portée de main bien pensée bravo tu et trop fort 🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵🤗😘 de papy Gilbert de France bisous bisous
A few have mentioned a cover and a fire extinguisher- agreed. I would also use a 5-gallon bucket filled with hand tools with a lid that doubles as a seat.

Just have a place to park it out of the rain...
Add a 3-point hitch attachment so you could haul it with forks or on the back of a tractor.
Hello Mike, well, I guess you could put some big wheels on the bottom like I suggested a couple months ago when I suggested you carry around a big toolbox with the tractor and sent you those casters that never got used for the workshop sled. I’m glad the tank is making life better!
How about adding some old pieces of pvc pipe to hold a shovel / rake / etc Love the multi use of these IBC totes. Love the channel

Throw the dewalt air compressor in there and give dp’s thunder creek trailer a run for it’s money. Lol call it the thunder crate.

Thunder crate 🤣🤣🤣
I'd add a extra 12v battery & solar battery tender so you can charge the camera batterys while out working !
I think a fire extinguisher ..not commenting on the likely hood of you causing a fire.. but well ;) and maybe a way to carry some chains/straps?

That's a good idea. I have several in the barn but haven't mounted anything in the backhoe yet. Would be good to have on there
That ending 😂😂😂

👍 HAPPY 4TH CAPT. AND FAMILY…..💥💥💥🥥
now you need to get a small trailer to put it on to pull behind the side by side and it looks good that way you can put the battery on a charger and pull it the market to fill it up
Wow 👍👍👍👍
Maybe take the piece that you cut off and replace it as a gate. Just in case you have to pile some things in there or load it full of fire wood.
Be sure to add a 5 pound sledge hammer to the box. Good idea you had.

Another great ending 😂
Great idea. I was thinking the same as some other people. A shelf to raise the tank to make space underneath for other stuff.

You should start doing the same thing Artillian is doing. Buy M&M’s put them in a plastic jar labeled Kleeman’s Gourmet W&W’s and sell for 5x the price. Use a milk crate to hold your gallon containers.

Definitely needs a cooler
1. I would cut the box down one rung as it is too tall. 2. I would hang the Stanley box flush with the top. 3. I would add rebar to separate the compartments so they don't shift around. This would add strength and compactness if stacking other units...
NEED vs WANT... You HAD what you NEEDED,because you were getting the job done. You are developing what you WANT to make it easier, faster. You'd still get the jobs done without this. You know you would. I need i want I can afford I'm allowed to have Often mutually exclusive of each other. But we meet as many as we can.
Cap’n, I can’t believe you forgot the hammer drill… ‘cause you never know when you’re gonna need a hammer! Add a gallon of mixed anti-freeze & your air portable air tank and you’d be ready to service darn near everything…. But, for now, run what u brung… add-ons will surely come!

Battery / Jumpstart / Air Compressor: with a solar panel maintaining the charge on the battery 🔋 just thinking out loud 😂
So instead of a Thunder Creek, you made yourself a Rumble Stream.
Since you're carrying liquids to fill/top up - how about some funnels? Might make things less messy. Also, how about some plastic blocks on the under the corners, so that the metal doesn't start rotting when the unit is down on the ground?
@Kleeman1
Жыл бұрын
Funnels is a great idea!
Try selling your design to Thunder Creek - they could do totes as well as trailers! 👍
Quick connects on each machine matched to what is on you fuel tank. Easy hook up easy disconnect.
Use an IBC covers or build something of your own from a tarp. Otherwise, a good idea.
It needs a cover to keep it out of the rain and elements. Especially if you leave it outside all the time. Even a cheap tarp would work fine,

Good idea
Jump leads? May be also a jump pack. Yes you could use the thing moving it... But might be in an awkward location...... As always! Extra long jump leads might be enough..... Lights? Battery/solar... So when you are working on the troubled machine it can help you see...... But like the new DP ones for the thundercreek rig, you are kind of emulating.... It might be ok now, but come autumn and winter... In the dark and cold.... Light is helpful. With a big battery.... Just a thought. Or a small generator... To provide power for lots of things, when in the wilds...... Batteries run out..... You have a big fuel tank.... Free flowing the thoughts here.... Can you tell. 😁 Need a decal for the side of the new "Kleemancreek" - fuel/oil/greese/maintenance tote thingy....... 👍👌
👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🗽🙏🏻 Enjoyed...Pretty obvious to me it needs a fire extinguisher!👍 Maybe check with your local fire station ...gotcha👍
Hole toed Crocs on for safety 👍🏻👷🏻♂️😆
Don't be a cheapskate, bung a used 12v battry on there too. Use it to run the pump, as a jump battery, with a cheap inverter you got a power station for tools and battery chargers... you could even bung a couple cheap led lights to get outa a pickle in the winter when gets dark early... and switch the pump crocs for an anderson too, lifting bonnets gets boring very soon! Gota love an IBC, are going to see an IBC shower or Ibc sepitic tank soon?

It makes zero sense to spend money on a battery when all the equipment it's fueling has a battery. It's not being cheap, it's using logic 👍
Don't forget your lunchbox and your coffee
Two things that I would do oared 1) move your Stanley box to the outside. Just flip it around so that you have more room inside your cage. 2) put a trailer under it. I’m sure you’ve got an axle with two wheels on it and you could make a tongue very easy. No matter what you do to it from this point on, dirt perfect and Letsdig18 have nothing on you my friend!!!

Move it to the outside and it gets ripped off. Inside provides better protection

The cliffhanger at the end 😂
Lay the bucket of oil down even brand new water will get in them. And if you do need battery for fuel pump from time to time just throw jump box in there. And maybe the bag off a pallet of pellets to cover it from sun and keep the leaves out
@Kleeman1

I didn't think about the leaves, that's a good point
Hi Mike, Great vid again! What about a small hook so you can always ensure that you have them “safety Crocs” to hand....just in case!! Jerry...UK
Love it
Good morning young man and sure looks good to me? I am sure as you use it, you will find other ways to make it user friendly for you.

Either water or a Fire extinguisher.
Great idea looks great 👍 now you need to add a tool box 🧰 all that new technology and no tools to work with 😂
Nice set up for fuel and oils. What about a couple things on the outside to hand your chain saw and your leaf blower and a spot for your propane tank with weed burner?
Thunder Creek now have serious competition 😂😂 I know all the fluids are containerised, could you make a cover out of the IBC container to keep the rain off ? It would probably mean having to site your super posh (not) Stanley toolbox lower ...... 🤔
A 5 gallon bucket greas gun will be good
Neat,
Thunder Creek better watch out Kleeman entered the game. Will the tote fit in the back of the SXS also?
Bar oil! (I always forget) and maybe a saw sheath on the side AND a fire extinguisher! Duh! 😬

I would have mounted your Vevor up higher, using a stainless steel plate or rods for support , to bring it up flush with the top of the cage. It would be more accessible and would give you storage for a couple tool boxes beneath it.
Looks like a great idea.

shovels are fine outside the cage but if and when the tool box falls off, i would want it to fall into the cage not on the ground.
I like your idea, but, I would improve it by cutting the bladder off about a foot up or so and place it underneath everything else which would keep other things you may transport from falling out of the basket. Plus I think it might strengthen it a little bit. This way you can bring a chainsaw and two stroke fuel, or extra batteries. I think the battery idea is pretty good because if you buy an inverter, you can charge your chainsaw batteries remotely and of course if your battery on your equipment is dead you can boost it and still fill it with fuel.
Brilliant idea 👍 I love it.

nice tote conversion just needs a
I think you need one of those round orange ‘sports beverage dispenser coolers’ with the cone cup dispenser tube on the side like you see mounted on the utility company service trucks 😆 * maybe a funnel or three? * a big tub of Goop or GoJo hand cleaner and a roll of paper towels
recently built a fuel and tool box for my tractor that fits on both the 3 point and the loader frame. its an old steel site box I modified to fit 2 jerry cans, chainsaw etc in it.
Like the setup 👌
Throw a funnel in the box and you’re good.
Looks good room to improvise!!!!

Along with hanging the toolbox over the outside (course if you have a habit of hitting things maybe not), also add some hangers or pocket to the outside to be able to haul long things (wood, pipe, rakes, etc).
@fhuber7507

foot long 2 inch PVC pipes affixed to the cage, drop the rake/shovel handle in. Cheap, easy. Gets it done. The bottom plate of the IBC cage is there to keep the tool off the dirt.
Your outros are perfect. 👍🏻 One other person mentioned it but if that $200 Stanley toolbox fits above the quick attach and forks then clip it to the outside of the tote frame towards the 755.
Love it. Improvement proved.
Add a mini compressor and led light bars😅
Add a jump box!
How about a couple of pipes at the corners to put a shovel, rake or pry bar in? Looks like a good rig to me. Love the videos.
@warrenmichael918

chainsaw holder too.
Maybe use pool noodle for rough opening protection and old tarp for bottom👍
I think I would have left the top piece intact, Just for strength purposes even if its in the way sometimes.
You could buy a dewalt battery adapter to run the pump without the need of a piece of machinery.
@Kleeman1
Жыл бұрын
Like I talked about in the video, it takes machinery to move it and it's fueling up machinery so a battery should always be on hand
Consider hand tool attachments for shovels, racks, etc. Is there room for a small generator to power lights? Equipment doesn't just break down in the morning or to finish that one project on the back 40. Space for a gallon of diesel and gas. Just in case.
With the idea of this being a portable service unit, how about a small air pump too? Great idea BTW.
That great idea I am going to make one similar.
@Kleeman1

Awesome!
Mike it looks great,i have read most of the comments and you have plenty of ideas for improvement, i am sure you will improve it as your needs require it, great job and great video 👏👏👏👍👍👍👌
If you were to add a battery also add a solar panel so it stays charged and you can charge any power tools off it.
👍 I would drop that grease gun box down a rung for better visibility.....you asked.
Put a few braces across the middle and raise the Vevor and use the space under it for more tools I.e. your chains.
How about a permanent/ non permanent chainsaw holder for when you wanna take the saw out for the day but it’s in safe keeping instead of laying on the ground. Maybe a couple pieces of pvc pipe on the back for a shovel and rake? Also throw a chain or 2 in the bottom
You could hand the fatmax box so it hangs toward the tractor over the coupler. It would improve visibility, balance and access to fluids on the floor.
