Beethoven was not Austrian. Both his parents were German, with his paternal grandfather coming from Flanders (Belgium)

I have the steel grey dial version of this model (no numerals) The ONLY person who EVER recognized it as a Rolex was wearing a Daytona. *_The absence of bling is why I prefer it._*

😎Some of this footage was taken months ago.... before the current situation. In case you're wondering about people walking the streets. 😎 Also - This is the 2010 version. Now they've moved the silver 369 dial to the 34mm and replaced this with a blue dial. 😎

Love the video’s mate, best watch channel out there for me. Always looked longingly at the OP but never pulled the trigger. That explorer style 3,6,9 and silver dial is just beautiful not sure if I could get away with a 36mm model as I’m used to wearing 40mm upwards but checked the Rolex website and think that one is actually 34mm?

@@Dazza1977P I have the 36mm white dial OP from 2019, it has "thicker" lugs than in past years and brighter dials tend to wear more like a 38mm. Fits great, just my two cents.

I spent months looking for a new watch, I try on Omega, Tudor, AP, ALS , Panerai, Vintage IWC with outstanding Movements. I have access to any brand I want , and when I put on the OP 36mm "white" I was immediately sure that in this very moment that was the watch. That was what I wanted to look at. Is only that you can experience it when you put it on, go out to have a walk and the sun hits the dial. Is a felling I have towards this object same when you see a painting or read a great book and then becomes part of your life. Is beauty

I'm just a middle class guy, but I've always wanted a Rolex watch. About 8 mos ago, after a couple of years of saving up, I finally purchased my first Rolex. I went with the new black 39mm Oyster Perpetual. Love it.

Congratulations!!! Just a bit of an advice. If you prefer of course. Go to your AD and order a white dial for your black 39 OP. You have enjoyed the black for nearly a year now. For 800$ now you can enjoy the white dial. I'm sure you will not regret it. )))

I do voice overs for a living and I must say...you should be doing voice overs. Great delivery and a very unique style and sound in your VO. Great job.

World class cinematography and storytelling. The best video of its kind I've ever seen. Worth literally MILLIONS to Rolex.

Bought this watch about 3 months ago in Las Vegas for my 18th Birthday its a great watch !

Lucky man, also my first rolex but at 36.

As always, great choice of music - Beethoven's 5th, 2nd movement - and brilliant editing where at 5:30 you get a crescendo corresponding to a closeup of the Rolex crown logo on the dial!

I’ve just picked this exact watch up, a 2012 beauty, your vid cinched the deal. Love the videos. Keep up the great work and have a great 2022.

To me this watch is for those who want one watch that can cope, without exaggeration, the rigours of everyday use. Great vid and the music was befitting the piece and relaxing to follow. Bravo.

My 36mm white OP was my first Rolex. Although I love my others, still Iove the OP the most. For me it's a great size, simple, elegant comfortable, understated. Great video!!

I don’t think I’ve ever been more impressed and absorbed in a KZread video. Music, content, tone, delivery and cinematography all exquisitely judged and balanced. What an absolute master class in how to produce a video. Outstanding stuff! Subscribed.

Maybe the Oyster Perpetual should be called Superman. Before Batman, before Hulk, and decades before Kermit there was one Rolex to rule over them all. And it still does!

I was thinking about how to commend this video in a way I wouldn't normally compliment a video. I decided to have a quick read of the comments. Get some inspiration. I don't have to look very far and I came across Christian Boulay. I had to laugh to myself. He had more or less written all the words I wanted to try to find and I'll never be able to word it better than he has already. Your review of the Oyster Perpetual is simple brilliant. You have given credit to a watch with such a history a truly timeless review. You have a beautiful collection of watches. Maybe one day you'll do a state of your collection video. Bravo!

We asked and you delivered. Well done, sir. Well done. That is a beautifully shot video of a an equally beautiful watch. Love how the dial can look champagne coloured in some light and silver/white in others. I was pretty obsessed with the blue version of this watch with 369 layout but have gone off it as it's not that versatile. But, this silver dial is stunning. Might have to start looking around for this one soon. Keep up the great work!

The raised applied numerals really make the dial stand out.

Yet another wonderful composition from TTWC. I love the dance between the music and the visuals to celebrate the featured timepiece. The cadence of shots in conjunction with the music and the ticking hands of the OP contrast at times with alternative tempos from the various shots and focal transitions. Altogether, presents such a treat! The angles capture such great visuals. So well done! Bravo! Thank you!

So glad you did this. Until now had felt the odd one out that this has always been my favourite Rolex. Swayed by the 36mm Explorer, but heart soon replaced head. As it will be a 60th Birthday first and only luxury watch I soon returned to the simple understated style of the OP in 36mm that I have long admired. Going for 36mm as again it’s the size I love, with the added bonus I am hoping my daughter will wear it long after I am dust. Thanks again and hoping you are coping with life in lockdown Italy.

Why is it in almost every industry (i.e. electronics, automobiles motorcycles, musical instruments, tools etc.) that proprietary manufacture of a product is not seen as a good thing? It usually signals that there will be a much, much higher cost for service or replacement of parts. However, in the watch industry, an in-house movement is looked at like a badge of honor that is required to reach a level of extra high quality and value. Does an in-house movement actually give a watch higher quality and value or is it just another marketing ploy to drive up perceived value and therefore prices? P.S. Love your review videos as much (maybe more) for the visual production values as the commentary. Great job!

Really like the proportions of the 34 and 36 mm Rolex OP/DJs. Relatively small case diameter paired with big lugs and bracelets creates a very streamlined look.

Bracelet width is appropriate to the case for those.

My 1st Rolex , 16030 Datejust engine turned bezel and Romans on a silver sunburst dial. Classic Rolex timeless design making it so versatile.

Another remarkable video. The first time I ever tried on a Rolex it was an Oyster Perpetual. I’ll never forget that moment.

If you have a chance to see the white dial, you will find it is anything but plain. Sort of an eggshell/ivory color with slight hints of silverish white in certain lights. Quite complex without being overdone.

Beautiful shots of Vicenza, my home for ten years! I absolutely love Vicenza, it would have been cool to run into you there had I known you lived there too. Now I am stuck back in America and missing a cafe at Alle Colonne.
