So, with the risk of me sounding very dum what is the difference between a hard pellet, soft pellet, expander and all the other types of pellet ranging from the ones the fishery insist you have all the way to the Fjuka’s. So confused, please shed some light on this and suggest situations on best time to use each variety. Much appreciated Scott!

There's no such thing as a daft question, hard pellet are used in bait bands and primarily used in late spring and through summer when the fish are feeding heavily and can be fished shallow/slapping, on the deck and on a bomb/feeder, soft pellet/expander are hard (packet will say expander) until they are soaked or pumped (you can get ready done that don't need any extra prep) and are used when fishing for silvers or through winter etc, fjuka are a soft pellet you can use all year round, fishery pellets tend to be from a good supplier and will contain the nutrients that fish need for that time of year (if it's a good fishery) and these can be soaked/pumped and used the same as any other pellet really.

Love your vid's Scott love the trick is it true to soak 1m for 1 minutes 2m for 2 minutes are the ready done any good or is it best to do your own and would you put stuff on say like turmeric would love your feedback Cheers mate.

Thanks Alan, yeah as a rough guide that's right it also depends on the quality of the pellets too, the ones in the video are 2mm and they had just under 2 minutes in total, I have given them a dusting in green swimstim groundbait in the past and it works really well so I don't see why tumeric wouldn't and as I've said before it's a confidence thing. The ready made ones are fantastic to use on there own but if you want to add a colour or a flavor then soaking your own would be best.
