Jeff, when you're videoing light colored surfaces, and applying light colored material, its difficult to really get a good perspective on what you are doing. its something like 'snow blind'. maybe something like a work light could provide better definition .

What do you at an intersection if the ends of the tape are cut straight intead of a triangle. Does the tape get overlapped?

Perfect 90 better for home owner / diyer. Don't have to play in corners , can mud both sides same time , less chance at bubbling from mistakes.

This is my first attempt at using mud and doing quite well I think. I'm using perfect 90 and my first attempt was only so-so. Forget their instructions regarding only covering the printing. If you do that, sanding in the corners will rip up the tape covering the plastic behind it. Put the mud on all the way to the corner and feather out 6 inches. Like paper, only do one side at a time and let dry thoroughly. Now the corners look great.

No I always use tape because I don't ever want to see any of my seams between 2 pieces of dry wall develop a crack later.

The directions on the box tells you to put the printed side to the wall with the laminate strips facing out. you put it on backwards. you mud upto the laminate edge.

David if you install it the way you just described how you think it should be, it is YOU doing it wrong. You misread the instructions/ On page 2 of the instructions step 1, it says "Print side faces out from corner". You are saying print side faces wall, which is wrong. In fact, laminate side has to be against the wall, it is the spine of the Perfect 90 tape. I installed this textbook according to the Instructions: images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/0e/0e63e685-2465-4607-aed1-bd67865a74ec.pdf

Really? I hate to be negative but your instructions are really off the mark. Even for someone who is obviously a DIY’r, it’s slow, cumbersome, and inefficient the way you do this. Sorry, but I really have to point out the issues
