Also, I didn’t even read the book until this show. You are right. The author (Rick Riordan) wrote the books because of his son who had ADHD and dyslexia. He used to tell his son (Haley) bed time stories about the Greek mythology. When he ran out of stories, he made up stories, which he decided to use for his books. At the beginning of his first book (which is the only thing I read so far), he writes “To Haley, who heard the story first”.

The actor for Percy (Walker) was 13 during filming for the most part, he turned 14 shortly before the filming ended. Filming for this season was roughly 6 months

i loved your reactions! i want to clear up somethings you guys mentioned 1.rick riordian (the writer) has a son who has dyslexia and adhd and rick came up with the books as a bedtime story for him because he was struggling with them. 2.also clarisse is the daughter of ares who is actually the god of war so they are the camp bullies by default 😅 and her spear was a gift from her dad which explains her reaction when percy broke it. 3.another thing you mentioned, dionysus’ father is zeus and zeus punished him because he chased a nymph(nature spirit) who was off limits therefore he forbid him from drinking alcohol and banished him to the camp half blood. excited to see the next episode’s reaction!

It was Percy who did the water thing in the bathroom. Annabeth is a daughter of Athena, so after that bathroom incident she suspected he was a child of Poseidon, but she needed to verify her hypothesis (hence shoving him in the water) She also set him up as bait because she knew Clarisse would seek him out for revenge for his embarrassing her, therefore Luke would be free to make a straight shot to the Ares flag (Athena is goddess of wisdom and battle strategy)

Well he’s 13 about to turn 14 when he filmed this yeah 😂 and walker is 15 now while Percy is supposed to be 13 on the second season. And he’s so tall now that’s insane.

The titles of the episode are chapter titles in the books. Also there are lines staight from the book like you drool when you sleep and the first monologue in the first episode is the first page from the book.

Zeus is also the God of sky. The 3 brother rule over the 3 largest bodies of, well, the world: Sky, Sea, and Underworld (not land, that's their grandmothers thing. But she's a titan so it's kinda different)

We're at camp a little bit longer in the book, like a couple days more, mostly training and taking some classes. As a book reader, the tv show is different from the book but it's pretty accurate. Hades, Zeus & Poseidon made a pact because their children were becoming too powerful. Children of Big 3 attract more monsters which is why most of them die and don't make it to camp (like Thalia that Luke mentioned who was Zeus' daughter).

Thalia, the one Luke and annabeth came with to camp but got killed befote she could cross, is Zeus's child as well. Who he broke the pact for. Hercules (or Heracles) was before that pact was made.

At first I wished his dad was Zeus but Poseidon is probably more powerful (in like powers) than Zeus, but Zeus is king because he was the one who killed their father.

Hades comes across pretty bad in myths but honestly no worse than his brothers
