athena allowing the chimera in to in other words allow annabeth to die parallels medusas story. annabeth and medusa give their lives to worshipping and defending her yet she condenms/blames the women that adored her for the actions of posedian and percy (the sea gods). thats the whole purpose of the last weeks ep. athena like lots of the gods are very unloving towards their children as shown annabeth abides by all rules to please her mother even defending her jealous and irrational actions towards medusa yet posedian saves percy even after his repetitive defiance and direspect to the gods.

Yeah. Idk about the books, but in terms of the show, I feel like it kind of goes to show the ego and narcissism of the gods. And that they probably aren’t capable of love. They just love being loved.

i feel like percy is valid. some of the gods are having multiple children, but leave many unclaimed. they won’t show any of them the slightest attention, or help when they’re in danger outside of camp half blood, but use them to do things that the Gods are unable to do. sure, the gods want strength and glory. but if that’s all they value in their children and nothing else, you could argue that they’re not the best parents. But also on the other argument about the show making the gods more real, i agree about that. in the books, because zeus is angry, there would be storms and lightening happening. but now that season 2 recently got renewed, i hope the show is able to grow from the critics.

if percy wasnt HELLA poisoned he woulda put in some WORK in that chimera even if he probably wouldn’t have won since achidna but poor boy couldn’t even see straight he just swung the sword and hope it hit somethin LMAFO😭

In the case of the centaurs, the same way in episode 1 when he saw the mechanical bull while a regular person just saw a garbage truck, humans will see other animals in place of the centaurs which leads to hunting. I always assumed humans saw them as bison or horses.

The mist Thats why WE the viewer cant see like they can as characters , Mississippi river , waker is in a tank , hes now a junior certified diver to do water scenes. Percy is poisoned so course he cant. A Niad

A cabeça da medusa (olhos) continuam funcionando (transformando) as pessoas pq nos livros eles explicam que a cada monstro morto você adquire um "troféu". No segundo EP quando o Percy acorda no acampamento ele vê o chifre do minotauro que ele usou pra matar o minotauro em uma mesa. Sempre que um monstro é morto ele vira fumaça e ( pode voltar a vida) mas tbm sempre deixa esse troféu pra trás pro herói que o enfrentou. A gente n viu pq estava invisível mas o corpo da medusa virou pó e a cabeça dela foi o troféu que o Percy "ganhou" ao derrota-la e como ela foi amaldiçoada isso é infinito, a cabeça (no corpo dela ou não) sempre vai ter esse "poder". Nos livros eles tbm explicam que os monstros podem voltar assim que eles morrem (dodds no EP 2) ou levar séculos. Os heróis do acampamento guardam esses troféus no sótão onde o oráculo fica mostrado no EP 3

A few things about this episode, the centaurs that grover mentions being killed by humans, they are seen by humans like normal horses thanks to the Mist, just like the way that the chimaera was able to hide as a little dog and fit in the carrier (also similarly to chiron wheelchair). i also want to point out how much i hate that the series makes it seem like annabeth stepmom is the only reason that she ran away, completly taking the blame out of her dad that was just as abusive and neglectful to her. and lastly, you have said multiple times in your reactions that percy isn't brave and i genuinely don't get it? this is a 12 year old traveling across the country to save his mom while gods and mosters are trying to kill him when he has little to no training at all (not like annabeth or even grover), the only times he has stepped down was bc he didn't want to help his dead beat dad not bc he was scared, and tbh he hasn't been scared at any moment in this series
