After spending several weeks and many class periods on stoichiometry and percent yield, I could still not grasp this concept. After watching 12 minutes of videos, everything is clear. Thanks so much!

If I understand this correctly, there's a very simple way to get an average extraction yield. Weigh the Original dried ingredient you'd like to extract. Infuse your dried substance and filter. Now dehydrate the remainder Fibrous content to get rid of most of the water - comparable to its original state, and Weigh it again. The difference in weight before and after the infusion of the dried matter will show you how much extracted content you now have mixed within your liquid. For example, if the dried coffee was 100g before extraction, and after filtration and dehydration is 60g, the total dissolved/extracted content is 40g.

Hey guys, instead of doing that weird table calculation thing, you can use the equation 'mass (g) = moles x molar mass' and rearrange that, so you'd get the moles of 2AgNO3, then divide that by 2 to get moles of Ag2CrO4, then just convert that into mass via the equation ^^ (hope I wrote it right, it's 23:16pm lol)

Since it is a double replacement reaction, there will be two products. One of them was given in the problem and the other you have to figure out.I suggest learning about the types of chemical equations in which double replacement is one, so you can see how potassium nitrate was formed

(Ag=107.87x2= 215.74, Cr= 52.00, O4= 16.00x4=64.00) = 331.74, but she uses 331.8 I hope this clears your problem. I actually got it and learn it better then in class. Its confusing in class. But if I hear it more often then it becomes easy and fun actually.
