This is not a hologram. It is a reflection on glass used in theatres for years. It's called ,"Peppers Ghost" . Look it up. You can not project a hologram...yet.

I understand draw to this process, but I am terrified for those that have died and wish to rest in peace. Not to mention how this could end up being so destructive to the living as well. Imagine a parent, spouse or child who has lost a child, a spouse or parent using this as a means to keep that person alive, and thus not mourning, moving on, living in life, but rather instead, choosing an illusion that traps them in what is a lie, a manner of living life.

There are huge intellectual property and payroll issues that come with this technology. Also, the issue of how and what celebrities would want their likeness to endorse, how such technology could crowd out real actors, how money is divided up from the deceased's estate, and how using fake people for entertainment impacts the social and psychological morale of society. Some more ethically problematic celebrities, like Michael Jackson, are also probably better left dead since there is so much contention around their actions in life. If something is going to upset half your demographic audience, you're better not bringing it out at the Superbowl.

I would give anything to see my dad one more time. He committed suicide in 2007 and it still hurts like I heard the news this morning..

I'd want to bring back people I've lost so I can just see them again, even for a bit. Is that a tad morbid? Certainly would be more meaningful to me than anything else.

Trust me, up-and-coming celebrities will still have jobs. There's a certain level of emotion that comes with knowing a performance is real versus watching a hologram of dead Farrah Fawcett or Audrey Hepburn, and people only want to see the same performers in multiple productions to a point. The soullessness of a computer-generated performance can be psychologically perceived by many and would be a turn-off for a lot of people. "Computer nerds" may have made this a reality, but that doesn't mean society will take to it with open arms.

I can see this being used for a false flag event...

Except it's not a Hologram. Peppers Ghost is a technique used in the theatre, and is achieved with reflections on glass. Holograms cannot be projected.

Put some shoes on and get your feet of the furniture...

I would rather see the real artist , not a fake hologram. The real live singer is much better.
