If I remember correctly, in Control they suggest that the book series Alan Wake wrote about this Cop are actually real in another reality. The Cop character actually exist in this reality and everything plays out like in the books. And that's just the normal reality there. I took it as, because someone thought of it, in an infinite multiverse, it is a certainty that it happens somewhere just like in his book. So yeah, everything that is possible can and will happen. Just maybe not in your Universe.

Alan Wake has the ability to see visions of things that are real, but he doesn't know that these things are reality. To him they are simply "inspiration." So to him he thinks these are just fictional characters, but unbeknownst to him, they are real people. The Dark Presence just amplified this ability further. That's how he's able to write about Jesse or Alex Casey without knowing them

Mr Scratch sounds like a straight up Stephen king reference. I know Alan wake is very Stephen king, but King wrote a book called The Dark Half where a writer’s evil twin appears and starts killing people and leaving the authors DNA all over the crime scenes.

The fact that it's going to cost more to buy digitally (even after the reduction they announced) than any other game I've bought physically this year (FFXVI, Jedi, Spidey 2, Immortals, etc) is the main reason I'm not getting it. A physical product we can collect, refund, sell, trade, lend, replace, or play before or after a digital store inevitably closes holds far more value than a digital product subject entirely to the whims of platform holders and publishers. I'll either wait for a physical release or buy it on sale when the price matches its restrictions as essentially just an extended rental.

I suggest leaving media entertainment than. Physical media is on its way out as projects exceed the storage space of disks that are financially viable to produce.

Your CS discussion was so interesting to listen to for someone who has been playing it as their main game for 10 years, you're absolutely right that you need patience and to learn from others. We call it "game sense" which just an understanding of whats going to happen next based on whats already happened 1000 times for you. Love to hear it from your perspectives!

90% of Counterstrike advanced play can be attributed to two things Crosshair Placement (keep your crosshair where heads are going to be) And Good Use of utility (flashes and smokes are useless if you are dead) Once you learn these things you can apply them to any map. (ie placing your crosshair at head level on a corner you know they have to come around because you blocked the other off with a molotov)

Hi guys. Love this video. I think you have a very valid comparison of Allan Wake being very Lost and Twin Peaks. I personally love the Wake/Control universe. But I’ll also admit there are several mysteries that aren’t paid off (ala Lost, twin Peaks). It’s a bizarre world that doesn’t always pay off. I love it, but I can totally see the other side. I’m excited for Wake 2 but can fully understand anyone who has reservations. And that’s OK 😉

I don't disagree, but comparing Lost to Twin Peaks is a whole other thing. I'll cut it short but I feel like Lost didn't know what they were doing and Twin Peaks was antagonistic on purpose.

What we need is an Indie Publisher. That itself is a Co-Op of the Indie Studios it publishes for. It'll never happen. But I feel like that model is the only way to enact actual changes to this medium. Because there is no way to get the people who actually make the games, into the Boardroom.

Best game as long as it was not rushed in development and Remedy held their promise for delivering a polished game since there is no physical release if I find the game is buggy I will get a refund as I will wait for reviews to come out first for ps5 and will be the last time I support them as no physical release is a big no no anti consumer comes from greedy corporations that don’t wamt their game to be sold due to physical copy

I got diablo 4 working on my steam deck, with little effort. Most non-steam games can still be played on a steam deck, and you can then launch it as a non-steam game. That’s the benefit of an open machine. The steam deck is a linux pc in a switch-like form factor. It has many abilities some consider to be… unnatural.
