I am struggling with jumping into a career I am really passionate about, I don't think that I am stupid nor do people call me stupid, far from it most people think I am really smart but I fear if I take that risk it will shatter my image and I will look stupid because I understand I will fail a few times until I learn to work with clients independently. And I been stuck in this rut for while, unsure how to take that leap of faith and not care about other people.

@@v1d300Hey, maybe you could try sitting down somewhere and picture yourself not doing so great, like failing at something. Do it a bunch of times until you kind of get used to that feeling. After each round, imagine yourself actually succeeding, though, so you're not just stuck on the failing part. It's like you're facing your fear and getting more chill about it. If you can just sit there with the feeling without freaking out or calling it a failure, it might actually help you out. Good luck, bro!

I used to think this way as well but I realized it's not about being smart alone, these guys are making millions because they're entertaining. Humans naturally want to be entertained alongside learning, the problem is that a lot of smart people are boring as hell, so even though we know more than these guys who make millions, most of us are nowhere as entertaining as they are lol. Money follows emotions, being knowledgeable doesn't heavily trigger any human emotion, but being entertaining does.

  • @AnthonyVicino

The thing is that mathematically, this actually DOES work at the casino. If you had a literally endless supply of money, you would always end up ahead of the house at some point. But no one does have that supply... Except them. That's why the house always wins, because they can outlast you. So it's actually true even in a casino setting, but they happen to have more money.

Just speaking for myself? You nailed it on the head. I’m a high school drop out with only a GED who also grew up poor. Now at 50 yrs of age I own 3 brick and mortar businesses that do ok. I’ve always told folks that ask how I did it that I’m not the smartest guy. I’m not even the hardest working guy. But what I’ve always had is tenacity. I don’t give up. It may take me longer to cross the finish line. But I will cross it. I was ignorant on so many things when I first took over my first business. But I learned and grew. I’m a slow learner also. But again, I keep going. I really enjoyed your video. I just wanted to share my little story to add to your point by sharing a real example. I’ll add this. What keeps us going? The fear of losing it all. There’s definite a little amount of imposter syndrome. I think it keeps me on my toes and motivated to keep learning and improving where I can.

this is a level 2 noob mindset, but its easier than the higher level mindsets, so I cant blame one for plateauing here. The truth is though, you don't need money, you need resources sure, but not money. Imagine exchanging something with someone and using a vehicle created by some 3rd party you've never met which mainly benefits the 3rd party (this is what ''money'' is in reality). Did you know that ''money/currency'' was first created by kings of the past as a way to get their peasants to work the fields? Clay tablets with numbers would get distributed to the peasants as a ''promise'' that they can get X amount of grain at the end of the month as long as they worked the fields every day. "We really need clay tablets, lets go out there and get after it" xDDD you see how ridiculous it is?

When you get to $10 million, then you can decide if you want to spend your time pursuing further gains. And you will also be financially free so you have more time and energy to do so. I had been searching for someone to articulate this for a long time now and this perfectly gave words to that feeling. Particularly the too stupid to quit thing. I was and am routinely considered very smart but dont take action until my brain burns out on anxiety and then i start. man.. This hit close to home. I am now where you were, 28 years old with 80k in debt, and feeling like I am a drain on my friends, family and society has been suffocating. After college I got into sales and took off like a rocket, and after a couple years my ego got too big to work for my boss so I struck out on my own. I always thought that my quote unquote smarts were holding me back from going all in on opportunities to make money. I always felt like coward or something, which led to a 2 year spiral of me trying to drink and party myself stupid so that way I would be impulsive enough to be an entrepreneur. Working up out of the health side effects, mental and physical, has been a stark lesson for me and advice like this is too on the nose for me right now. It almost sent me broke and not a week went by where I wasn’t asking myself if this was a good idea, but eventually it paid off. Its pretty easy to have success in business, its about working alot and taking risk and being creative at finding solutions. But it has a cost, you will see your family alot less. I don’t really like some of the things stated in the video about your thoughts and your fixed mindset “like this rich guy is so dumb to quit” and other things mentioned in the beginning, but I do like that you spoke the truth and told what needed to be told to help us with being successful. From a perspective where no one really knew this stuff I would say it would be quite helpful. Also I do quite like your quotes at the end about not giving up and just not caring about what other people think, and just being the true version of yourself. Basically the theme of the quotes “you can’t win if you don’t start” and “you can’t lose if you don’t quit”. Very good wise knowledgeable, good advice especially that last one there. The belief of just believing in yourself no matter what and not quitting, but learning from mistakes. The first one is also quite good in terms of changing you le mindset from a “fixed mindset” to a “growth mindset” about taking risks, being bold and not being afraid to challenge yourself in different areas in life. Overall, the message and theme definitely helped the mindset to “get rich” (but not really) but does help one become successful, thus being “rich”, perhaps not always in money, but other beneficial ways. The video would definitely help you become more successful! Good stuff ❤

I liked this video, you're a well spoken dude that conveys these ideas well. Unfortunately (and maybe this is my excuse), in my experience the guy you describe at the first of the video always comes from money. Dad was a landlord, Grandpa owned a bunch of property, so on and so forth. It's hard to take chances when you have quite literally everything to lose. Maybe you have videos on this, but the fact that it wasn't mentioned is disappointing.

I used a loan designed for first time home buyers with low credit and low cash savings. I bought the building for $245,000, but it only required $7,500 out of pocket. Over the years I've just kept rolling profits into new buildings... now, we've grown that initiakl $7,500 investment into an $85M portfolio. My family didn't contribute a dime.

I think the primary cause of becoming wealthy is to know how to sell. If you're a great salesman, or you know how to create a product that really sells, then you have a great opportunity to win the money game. Sales isn't really something that's only for smart people. It's a skillset. And much like playing basketball, where certain attributes can propel you to the big leagues, it takes people with special talents to do well in sales. And intelligence doesn't have anything to do with sales. So much like from ratatoille, not anybody can become a great salesman, but a great salesman can come from anywhere. But therein lies the problem. If winning the money game means you have to have a skill that is not gained from effort, but rather through some kind of genetic background, then that means most people are going to be doomed to poverty, no matter what they do. This, I believe, is a strong argument for socialism over capitalism.

I personally don’t like salespeople. If a product is good it would sell itself. When I go to a car dealership I hate having a salesman follow me around. If I find something I will get to the person. I also have people always knocking on my door trying to sell solar panels and tons of other things. Like I said before if I want the item I would call people to get estimates. Anyway that’s just me, some love being catered to.

@EMan-cu5zo Keep in mind that I intend to use the concept 'sales' in its totality. Meaning that it's not just about selling in a traditional sales office, but also as a parent, as a teacher, as a friend, as an interviewee, etc. I've read several sales books and they all say that these mindsets and techniques can be used in all of life. And as far as I can tell, this seems to be true. This why products from all walks of life can be extremely inferior compared to their rivals, and yet still become #1 in the marketplace.

Great one. A problem is when you are expected to be a smart person, that's what people pay you for. That's a huge impediment to starting out in the bigger business arena as an entrepreneur. Which always is as a beginner. But there's no way to success than starting where we are. I'm doing it. The biggest impediment is being afraid to look stupid on youtube/social because I don't have the technical skills to produce content that visually is superb, like your vids, Anthony! Guess there's no way out of looking like a beginner when I'm, well, a beginner. Blessings!
