Unfortunately, Labour HAVE to change their positions because the Conservatives have done so much damage. Under labour, the nhs was good, Schools were good, and public services were good. Fast forward to today ... Let's not forget that Blair saw the longest period of sustained economic growth for 200years and also reduced borrowing, and Brown's big regret was not dealing with the unethical banking practices of tory bankers like Rishi Sunak which led to the sub prime mortgage crisis. Dear Penny here is not going to win anything, but might be marginally more popular than Mr 'My plan is working, Labour would return us to square one', square one being how things were before the tories trashed it all.

that's an interesting phrase "political class" and im not entirely sure what it means. if you mean would i vote for the boris's of this world, or the utterly delusional and actually stupid liz truss then not in a billion light years, but neither would i vote for starma who has made a point of shifting his view on anything and everything and mostly staying silent so he says nothing that will shoot him down in flames. who i will vote for is someone who has some sense of conviction politics, who does not suffer fools (or woke) and has some backbone to them. it seems to me that out of all of them penny mordaunt does. no one in politics has any kind of answer any more because they have always chased votes and power, rather than new, vibrant ideas. maybe she has some but to start with, it seems she has values. that sets her above anyone else. @@imemine6494
