    Javi Rufo’s presentation was magically beautiful. Story and execution were eternally inseparable.

    Penn was amazing with that 18 year old magician. I think we all knew that trick wouldn't fool them. But he played the part and after saying she didn't fool them gave that awesome gesture about the crowd loving her. Just a class act.

    My intuition said it wouldn't fool them, but I was crazy-impressed by her all the same. She's a really bright girl and I'd like to see her become a big name in magic some day.

    I love seeing Teller rub the inside of the card box with his finger covertly to try and see if there is anything inside of it, and also laugh a bit when it was obvious how the card in the box "turned into" the match 🙂 It's nice seeing them love watching the creativity of the magicians even if they know how it was done.

    I wonder if P&T will tell people they fooled them not because they actually did fool them but because the act was so good that they really want them to perform in their show.

    No. The magician must tell the secret to the producers before the act. They actively listen what P&T have to say about the secret. If P&T have no clue, they've been beaten. Sometimes they guess the method, but if they're wrong they've been fooled. There are strict rules to this show that must be followed.

    To do this, they would have to nonverbally agree to 'throw the game'. Certainly not Impossible; but unlikely. Integrity is honored here.

    Hey, Penn, I just watched a Ray Comfort video w/you in it. I want you to know that I prayed for you that Jesus would make Himself known to you very soon. I truly hope we spend eternity together. You were born for such a time as this…for God’s glory and for YOUR good! I also pray for your long time friend, Teller and your families.

    39:34 aw, come on, we never saw the other cards in the deck, they were all queen of clubs. And the sliced print is just a geometry trick, they fit the pieces diferently when they are turned (the middle left should go to right and vice versa). Didn't fool.

    12:12 alright, i know we should praise her for doing magic at such a young age and stuff, but this is quite easy, she knows the starting position and has memorized the sequence of colors, she only has to count. The pen had a special paint that turns yellow after a few seconds (she has special pens for every color) and she just needed to learn an algorithm to quickly solve one side of the cube. With some training, it isn't that hard.

    I must say the trick Penn and Teller did themself was the only one slightly disappointing. Because it's quite obvious how they did that. But after hundrets of shows it might get difficult to come up with new little tricks that are suitable as show closers...

    Yes, it must be hard to come up with new material for show after show. One way to think about it, is that they are forced to come up with something by the producers of the show and they always have a spot in the show to fill!

    So how did they do it...?

  • @ThamiorSilberdrache

    @@Aevilbeast Ok, Spoiler-Alert: The card was forced. Most likely, as they never showed us the deck they used, they simply had a deck full of Queen of Clubs. The trick with the mat that seems to have 56 cards on it but one card is missing when you turn it over is a variation of the "choclate bar illusion" that is even often included in magic sets for kids. The card faces are slightly smaller than the backs and you can see that Teller is piecing them together in a different way when he is turning the mat over.

    P&T buy routines from other magicians, both for this show and their stage shows. Several of the contests in Fool Us have sold them routines before they went on the show. When performing that much, you only have so much time making new content yourself...

  • @ThamiorSilberdrache

    @ThamiorSilberdrache

    @@MaxQ10001 Of course not everything they show is original P&T content. Even the greatest magicians buy tricks of their collegues. It's just that this special trick, well, could be part of a magic set for children. it's just basic easy beginner stuff, not even close to what we are used to from P&T. That's why I said it's diappointing. They obviously didn't even have time to add their own twist to it.
