Penn & Teller: Fool Us /// Magician Michael Feldman - Season 7 Episode 27
Фильм және анимация
Magician Michael Feldman steps on stage at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas to perform an original magic trick for Penn & Teller. He’s got a balloon, sleight of hand, and a plan.
Michael is an expert is sleight of hand, having performed at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, off-Broadway, and for Crystal Cruiselines as well as many Forbes 500 corporations. He also creates and publishes his own original magic.
The title of this Episode is "Magic R App.” Penn & Teller: Fool Us - Season 7, Episode 27. Originally Aired April 9, 2021.
On a personal note: Penn compliments the originality of the idea of having the balloon sink with the weight inside. While the method and presentation of this trick are mine, the balloon idea came from an idea that magician Ben Hart published in his book The Darkest Corners and he absolutely deserves credit for that concept.

I mentioned this in another Fool Us video, but it's really funny how some of the code is really obvious as to what it means, and other times it just seems like Penn is rambling and then suddenly the magician says they got it

I could happily just watch a long clip of Teller enjoying various performances. He is so delightful to watch. It is like watching a young child see their first magic trick or coming downstairs on Christmas morning to the presents under the tree. It just makes me feel happy to watch him.

Meredith Monroe that is so well said. Even if he's not fooled, when he's entertained, Teller is wide eyed like a kid in a candy store. There's a lot to be learned from that, given that he's such an accomplished sleight of hand artist. Love your comment.

When this trick was done, I reflexively yelled, "That's GORGEOUS!!" Sometimes a Shin Lim type act with a lot of moving parts is great. Sometimes it's just as good to have one absolutely perfect little moment.

I really enjoyed this trick. Instead of the "overwhelm the audience with a mountain of tricks and epic music" approach, it was a patient approach with one punch line (I suppose two, depending on how you count). And the punchline hit! Really fresh and enjoyable.

No any decent magician you would not have seen that! also would have faked a better fake name!
“Aliens” beamed the weight inside the balloon by using the 5th dimension. What you didn’t see is the giant invisible robot on stage, because it was giant and invisible. The robot was holding the aliens the whole time.
Bro you sound as logical as Spock. You would make an honorary Vulcan and I agree. Great performance!
I wonder if when Penn said about Alyson seeing the trick in her own way in addition to P&T as that would be a triple he specifically meant that she helped them to decipher the trick with her non-conventional signature.

@@xz9925 You can clearly see, Alyson draw a smiley on the token that is not here after, on the token that he puts on the table so i believe he imitated Alysson's signature before hand, that token can probably split in half with the one he prepared being the second half at 2:24, you can see clearly that he has another token in his hand then until he put the token alyson signed into the bottom of the balloon at 2:36, you can see his right hand is in an unnatural position, cause Alysson token is in it he then put the token on the balloon, probably in a secret compartment that goes all the way to the bottom of the balloon, so it can be cut when alysson cut the balloon in the end then you can clearly see at 3:11 that he is putting nothing into alysson hands, but tries to brainwashed her into thinking there is something, with his words

@cameraman...just nailed it...waahaha at 2:26
Wow.
This is why I'm a skeptic. Because knowing that there is a potential explanation to what appears supernatural makes the event more interesting, not less. It tells us so much about how our brains work, and how easily our sense can mislead us. Not to mention how these illusions mean our brain is functioning normally! Great trick, my guy. Love the honesty :).

2:25 lol
That was great, one of the finest performances I've seen on that show. You have a wonderful storytelling rhythm and I'm sure that helps with the illusion. I have the worst coordination so magic is out of the question for me, but I can live vicariously through other magicians. I have one question, and maybe you are forbidden to answer, but as we all know magicians are not supposed to share their tricks, is there something in your contract to appear on the show that would persuade you to tell the producers or Penn and Teller if the trick did fool them but they guessed something? Like one person was asked "is this the method you used?" the answer was no, but do they have something in place in case that person lies?
@mugzy81
Жыл бұрын
Yes, there is a panel of judges that know the true solution and they know the hidden messages that Penn uses when explaining the secret behind the trick. That way if he used the wrong description, but there may be some slight confusion, they will go to the judges for verification of the "fool." This has happened in many cases where there could be different solutions and the way Penn describes it is either close enough (no fool) or off enough that it results in them being fooled. That's the check and balance that prevents someone from outright lying about their trick. Also a code of ethics that is agreed upon to appear on the show. Hope this clears things up a bit.
The real magic is @ 4:31 . The balloon is still floating lmao.
