Penn & Teller: Fool Us /// Magician Michael Feldman - Season 7 Episode 27

Фильм және анимация

Magician Michael Feldman steps on stage at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas to perform an original magic trick for Penn & Teller. He’s got a balloon, sleight of hand, and a plan.
Michael is an expert is sleight of hand, having performed at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, off-Broadway, and for Crystal Cruiselines as well as many Forbes 500 corporations. He also creates and publishes his own original magic.
The title of this Episode is "Magic R App.” Penn & Teller: Fool Us - Season 7, Episode 27. Originally Aired April 9, 2021.
On a personal note: Penn compliments the originality of the idea of having the balloon sink with the weight inside. While the method and presentation of this trick are mine, the balloon idea came from an idea that magician Ben Hart published in his book The Darkest Corners and he absolutely deserves credit for that concept.

    I mentioned this in another Fool Us video, but it's really funny how some of the code is really obvious as to what it means, and other times it just seems like Penn is rambling and then suddenly the magician says they got it

    Meredith Monroe that is so well said. Even if he's not fooled, when he's entertained, Teller is wide eyed like a kid in a candy store. There's a lot to be learned from that, given that he's such an accomplished sleight of hand artist. Love your comment.

    That was great, one of the finest performances I've seen on that show. You have a wonderful storytelling rhythm and I'm sure that helps with the illusion. I have the worst coordination so magic is out of the question for me, but I can live vicariously through other magicians. I have one question, and maybe you are forbidden to answer, but as we all know magicians are not supposed to share their tricks, is there something in your contract to appear on the show that would persuade you to tell the producers or Penn and Teller if the trick did fool them but they guessed something? Like one person was asked "is this the method you used?" the answer was no, but do they have something in place in case that person lies?

  • @mugzy81

    @mugzy81

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes, there is a panel of judges that know the true solution and they know the hidden messages that Penn uses when explaining the secret behind the trick. That way if he used the wrong description, but there may be some slight confusion, they will go to the judges for verification of the "fool." This has happened in many cases where there could be different solutions and the way Penn describes it is either close enough (no fool) or off enough that it results in them being fooled. That's the check and balance that prevents someone from outright lying about their trick. Also a code of ethics that is agreed upon to appear on the show. Hope this clears things up a bit.
