    Sometimes its very disappointing when you watch a really good trick and its doesnt fool them, but it wouldnt be the same show if more people were fooling, and then you remember that for many magicians, the world wide audience and exposure is worth at least as much as getting to open for penn and teller. Kinda a form if misdirection in itself, you thought i was trying to fool them with my left hand, but what i was really doing is waving a sign at the entire world that has my name and website and youtube channel on its with my right hand! Step right this way folks and click a link, click any link at all! They all show you the exact same thing, something i want you to see! So that makes it a little better when you think of it that way, because either way, the magician wins something. This was a really good trick. And you must really have a name in the magic world, ive never heard of you before, but i watch a lot of penn and teller videos, many of them on the magicans own channel after their performance, and i read lots of the comments that are left there, and it seems there are more of your fellow magicians commenting here congratulating you than i typically see on such clips. Most of the time its just people commenting their amazement with a trick, or how bad they think it was, or a lot of people posting their idea of how it was done and then other people arguing or agreeing with that person about it. Great trick and i look forward to seeing more from you in the future.

Also, it was super nice to do the HIMYM quote instead of the band camp one. I can’t remember who it was that made multiple “one time at magic camp” jokes and I could almost hear the entire theatre cringing lol. Alyson wasn’t my favourite host at first, but she’s really grown on me and it was a fun reference for basically everyone. Yeah, that's probably where he pulled them from. I suspect that's what the "We love a guy in a vest." and the "your clothes" parts were about. He probably used classical sleight of hand to move different color pieces from different parts of his vest. With the identical pieces trick, it's just managing where the extra is while removing the disappearing one and making it the new extra, but with multiple colors you have to keep track of where you're getting each from, making the trick a few times harder.

    Sleight of hand, but definetely one of the best ones. I like this kind of magic, where things happen right before your eyes without any suspicious moves. Even tho I know the method how it was done, I didn't catch any swaps, but then again it's very easy hiding tiny bricks in your hands. Still, nicely done.

  • @rijden-nu
    @rijden-nu3 жыл бұрын

    Hey, nice! Look, I have no idea how this is done (and I'm not going to scroll down or google for answers), but what felt kind of awkward was the obvious changes in seating position and arm folding and the weird way that the magician's hands were closed when I expected them open, which made me think like "hmm, where were his hands two seconds ago". I don't know if they were part of the trick or meant as distractions in hopes of making P&T guess wrong, but all in all it made everything look unnatural. I really hope the magician can work on more natural movements and transitions and make this trick look like an engaged conversation in a bar or something, meaning one big long smooth natural flowing motion, instead of these more staccato transitions. But hey, I'm an absolute n00b and I can't even shuffle a deck of cards without dropping it, so I admire all these guys to no end, so maybe I'm just totally talking nonsense. These were just my thoughts.

    You get the chance to do a trick for Penn and Teller on National TV and "cups and balls" / "coin matrix" with lego's is the best you could come up with? I just don't understand why this is what you'd bring to the show.. The colors literally didn't change any aspect of the trick because you had control of the order of the reveal...

    @@ryandouglas3312 if you know how it's done, you'll see there are a lot more items involved. Can't just palm one coin as you're dropping another, then use the palmed coin again later. That one is done. It can clock out and go home. Have to burn that one and pinch another of the right color from somewhere else, like the right elbow or vest or loaded in the mug or edge of the table for example. . . which is how it's done. Twice as many elements in play and a lot more unique moves.

    @@heatshield That is exactly my point. If you know how its done, which even I, as only an admirer of magic does, could tell you every move he did and when he grabbed the next color in line, and where he dumped the "retired piece". So back to my original question, why on earth would you pick this trick to try to fool and or "amaze" penn and teller on national TV when its the next thing up from Magic 101?
