I have the pursuit and your better of doing a full service to make it smoother again cause they definitely don't last to long in heavy use

I just ordered the reel is it good I heard they last a long time as long as your cleaning it and servicing it

Why would it be rare for a penn real? Its metal+ water= Corrosion. Low end penns arent sealed. And neither are the bearings

Pursuit IV was too new at the time to be having issues. I have several Wrath and Fierces that never bound up like that after years of abuse.

It has no actual sealing. Like no seals

wd 40 not good for reel. Its corrupt gum and plastic

WD40 “bike lube” edition is acceptable in my opinion. Regular WD40 isn’t the best, but I use it on my cheaper reels to keep them turning and rust free. My high end reels get the proper lubricants (reel butter or penn grease/oil).

@@CastFromTheHip its water soluble also , def use a legit grease . i like this stuff called shooters choice , can get it in a syringe applicator with a cap and keep it handy in a pack or lure box.
