Looks like the spool has been rubbing

Very useful and practical videos which I appreciate. But I want to take the opportunity to ask if someone has the same problem and how to solve it. I bought the reel Penn Fathom II 12SD and it happens that after a day of fishing it loosens the lever (gunsmoke ) that releases the spool for casting. I need to disarm the right side plate and adjust the eccentric screw 20-22 ( 1188690 ) that is loosened with each release. It should not be normal for this to happen and it is very annoying. I am grateful if anyone can contribute anything about this problem and its solution.

Spot on as usual Paul is this basically the same as the fathom 15 star drag only used it 3 times 👍👍

@@StarfishSeaFishing it’s the fathom 15 star drag not with the mag on the side it’s got 6 brake blocks in the side so I’ll just take my time boss vid tho mate 👍

@@jimmyredfern6318 yes it's the mark one the drag and gears are difrent and so is the anti reverse Bering I will be doing a vid on the 525 mag 2 mid week that will be the same as the fathom one but I will try and do both for you as I have a brake block up grade for you reel 👍 keep an eye out this week 👍

Aren’t bushings used to prolong the life of the bearing face?

you will have the same bearings that will need cleaning and the lever drag system yes it will differ i dont have one here

can the handles be put on the left side or do all multipliers come with handles on the right

more or less the 15 is the same as the penn 525 mag

A fathom 12 has a similar sized spool to an Abu 6500
