Beach in west coast of Peninsular Malaysia are nice but not recommended.. if you looking for crystal blue water with white sand beach go to east coast eg Terengganu or you may go further east in Borneo Island which is Sabah. Both states have Islands which you will find beach you looking for. Don't rely 100% on youtube. You should ask locals not any Bangladeshi or Pakistani or similar who came Malaysia for work. Peace.

Brother Ferringhi Beach is a high tourist area where the 5star resorts are but there are nice homestays besides hostels. There is a big night market closer to Georgetown called Gurney Drive where you can explore all sorts of local delights like Char KwayTeow (fried noodles), pancakes, fried omelletes with oysters, laksa fish broth noodles, ice kacang a cold shaved ice desserts with condiments like corn, peanuts, jellies, sago mixed in and sweetened with palm sugar or syrup. Also is home of the famous Nasi Kandar (try Hameedyah) not the version you had in KL when you first arrived. Hope this helps!

Yes he thought it was 30 ringgit. Even though he read it wrongly. They should have told it's only 4 ringgit for 30 pieces to him. Be truthful that's what i want. No honesty ! Corn seasoned with butter and salt is a common snack both in Malaysia and Singapore. Hiring that bike is a brilliant idea as it is a convenient way of getting around in Penang. Except when it rains. I suggest you get a raincoat. Just out of curiosity, are you planning to ride that bike all the way down to Johor Bahru?

You're already in Penang? That's pretty fast. Just yesterday you were having laksa in KL. Do try the laksa in Penang as well and see the difference And you must try the Penang nasi kandar. It is very different than the one you had in KL. You should go to Georgetown where there is a lot of good and cheap Penang food. Some attractions you can visit are Penang Hill and the Kek Lok Si temple

Davud, if you want super clear blue waters, you have to go to the East coast of Malaysia... visit Redang Island or Perhentian Island. Also regarding the mask, it's mandated now that you need the mask if you go to indoor enclosed areas, whereas it's not necessary if you're outdoors. This may change in future to make it optional to wear mask indoors as well.
