That spot i used to go for light dinner everytime i visit my parent in Langkawi. Normally i ordered from the food truck. As i check in at Art Studio which located just beside the spot, i found it convenience for me if i want quick supper or light dinner.

This is the Malaysian version of "Bakso" If original from Indonesia it has a mix of "Tampe" and "Glutinous Rice"

You put in too much soya sauce. It must taste salty The idea, if you are not familiar with sauces, is to add a little at a time and then taste it. You then adjust accordingly. If you add too much, you cannot remove it

It's kecap manis, sweet soy sauce, so it's sweet not salty. He also ate the same sauce prior to this I think.

The little plant you show is bean sprout or 'taugeh' in Malay language.
Bean sprout is famous in Japan. The quality of the water and the bean ( green bean) will determine the quality and taste of the bean sprout. In Malay is “ taugeh” . “ Maljan ” taugeh Malaysia Japan taugeh.

It's like pho. The white thingy is bean sprouts. U can get pho for $1. Actually u can get pho in chiangmai Thailand for 9 cents.

Langkawi is very near to Sumatra. Lots of ancient history. But KL and Melaka are even nearer to Indonesia. Like 50 KM according to Google Maps.
