I have to say I really love this longer video, listening to you talk about your life and experiences is kinda reassuring and comforting to me! You have a really nice way of expressing yourself when you speak thats just nice to listen to! And of course your art is gorgeous as always, it blows my mind how confidently you put down marks on the page! Love hearing about your comic stuff too, yours is the first I've heard of that really has drawn me in and made me want to read/learn about this world you're creating!

“Is it possible to learn this power?” I also think writing a sort of backstory for the characters you draw is pretty cool ngl the comic you are writing sounds pretty cool too, would totally read it when it

Hello Cosmic Spectrum! I’m taking the opportunity to comment while there’s still a low comment count. I love your art work so much, I’m a self taught artist and watching your videos has helped me break down a lot of technique and other fundamentals I’ve been struggling with. Keep up the fantastic work!

As someone who used to be a French comics artist in France, it's both very refreshing and a bit heartbreaking hearing your very kind opinion on European comics. The industry used to be amazing and flourishing, and you could genuinely make a career out of drawing comics. But then 2008 happened, and both the industry and the government decided that us artists were asking for "too high" salaries for "little work - a hobby really". And slowly but surely, our yearly earnings diminished then halved and diminished even more to the point of scarcity. We all had to take day jobs aside from comics, and nowadays, none of my artist friends live of comics. It's either their partner insuring they have enough, or their other (often salaried) jobs. Publishers are also less interested in publishing new blood, so all we've got left is growdfunding. The sad part is that our beautiful hardback books are still as expensive as ever: it's just that the artists see even less of that money than before. I had to quit comics due to both those financial issues and health reasons (I suffer from a severe chronic illness) and I also moved to the UK, where I now have a day job I like and am slowly rebuilding myself as an illustrator (when my body allows). But comics are still very close to my heart. I wish you all the best in your creations and hope you'll continue supporting European comics artists. ❤

That's so sad to hear! T_T Somehow, I don't find it particularly surprising because I think this is just the nature of the publishing industry in general. I had a very sobering experience with a publisher a few years ago, and have been completely disenchanted with that side of comics. Having done 1 graphic novel over the course of 2 years, it became clear immediately that i'd end up borderline homeless if I kept trying to go down that career path. I focused on freelance illustration instead, and hopefully will be able to do comics independently soon.. I'm really sorry to hear about your situation as well! I hope things improve for you, and hope you're well. Thanks so much for the heartfelt comment

Thank you so much for answering my question, beautiful piece btw. I do have a few brushes I like, I use ibis paint, I think the main issue is that since I’m visually impaired, I like being as close to things as possible and sometimes that kinda messes up the proportions of my drawings. It’s a slow work in progress but I’m sure I’ll be able to sketch digitally more comfortably. Hope you have a great day.❤️

Get a bearded dragon! They are amazing pets, so freaking chill ALWAYS, so simple to take care of even as a beginner, and they will hang out with you while you draw with very little supervision needed. Literally just plop those bois on your shirt while you draw and they will just love you for your body heat. You can scratch behind their cheeks with your finger and they will close their eyes like little puppies. If you still want one I would do it. :)
