Pelvic Floor Doctor’s Tips for Vaginal Birth

Are kegels good or bad during pregnancy? Find out whether or not you should be doing kegels during your pregnancy to prepare for a vaginal birth. Kegels may actually be "unpreparing" you for labor and delivery because you're doing them wrong. Doctor Nicole describes how to do a kegel correctly, the two types of pelvic floors she commonly sees in pregnant women, and how kegels can actually make your vaginal delivery easier if done correctly!

Do you find your pelvic floor to be more like the Type A or the Type B pelvic floor?

This is so helpful!! I was very Type B for my first pregnancy (I had to learn how to relax!). Now, with a third pregnancy, I can tell that I am Type A.
