Pellet tests with the Excite Econ 2 - BSA R10 Mk2 & Arken Zulus 3x12

In this test I put the Excite Econ 2 wadd cutter pellet through its paces from 15 yards to 23 yards. Hopefully this will make for a great close up, rat pellet. Accuracy was very good out to 23 yards and the flat head will hit hard, dumping all of its energy. The pellet weighs 7.4 grains, and at the muzzle gives an average of 11.2 foot pounds through my BSA R10 Mk2 air rifle. At 17 yards, this drops to 7.2 foot pounds, thanks to the flat head creating drag. I expect the maximum range for this pellet would be 25 yards, due to energy loss over this distance, but well worth testing through your rifle and scope combination. I also try out my new reactive target frame, which will hopefully give some ideas for those thinking of making a reactive target frame for portable use.

Ideal for 10mtr shooting, or indoors, the price is great anawl, what beats me is, apart from a SLIGHT difference in total weight of 500, what makes them £10 plus cheaper ( then say) H&N Baracudas, can't be that much difference in the manufacturing process OR the lead quality.. Just can't get my head round the MASSIVE difference on price..
