It was fixed by the warranty . It is a great powered mixer for small gigs . I sold it a few months ago . I'm using powered speakers now

Great video, thanks for this. My question is how many monitors can I gang in on this head? I was told only two but I wondered if I could connect 4 passive monitors in series?

looks like a mighty fine product to me.. loaded with wonderful features. Love the graphic with feedback indication ! and wow 600 a side..really? that's pretty good!!

This mixer/amp was in a location that needs a feed for video. I pulled the rca out but the signal is too hot. Is there no control over that output? thanks

With the XR8600 would i be able to connect 4 300w speakers to the amp directly? Am i correct in assuming that the 600w per channel is allocated Amp 1 600w & Amp 2 600w, since amp 1 and amp 2 has two connectors each is it equivilent to 300w per connector?

Microphones to amplifiers used for Paevey XR8600. Why would I use a 3.5mm mic plug into trouble without? Please guide me, I thank you much.

I would think the XR8600D model is lighter than the XR8600 because it employs a switch mode power supply. The XR8600 uses the much heavier toroidal power transformer...

Can you use the two amps for right and left, then use another outside Monitor power head for your monitors? I was thinking you could use one amp for the mains, the other amp for subwoofers and run an outside Monitor head coming out of the "MOnitor" Jack in the front... Anyway of doing this?

+Jack Shaw That is what I do. I run one speaker each amp, then use a balanced cable from the monitor out to a powered floor monitor.

is this thing better than a bose sound system

can you work powered active speakers of this or do they have to be passive speakers

Outputs on the back are for passive speakers. The front of the 8600 has a "line out" which you could run to an additional powered speaker or a second amplifier's input.

Also, could you explain all the 1/4" Jack inputs and out on the bottom right? Thx

From left to right you have 5x 1/4'' jacks and 2 RCA jacks.... J1 is the effects on/off defeat jack for a remote plug in footswitch, J2 is a line level post EQ monitor mix output to an external amplifier etc, J3 is the same as J2 but for main front of house mix @line level output, J4 & J5 are direct line level inputs to the 2 internal power amplifiers.. The RCA jacks line level outputs to a recording device such as a tape deck or DAT recorder etc...

mine has a sound problem. all turns on ok, but no sound at all.... help?

I'm not getting any sound from my speakers using my peavey xr86000 I've checked all cables and connections all led lights are functioning

I'm having that now... Lights on I can see sig/ clip lighting up for each channel just no sound... It was working for 15 mins then just stopped... Had it 2 years.

I had this problem then was fixed by warranty. Now years later it has happened again and no idea why. Any luck with finding a solution?

i bought mine on 5/10 /10 used it for a lot of gigs . today it's not doing well ......... 2 days after the 2 yr warranty is up , not happy at all ..........

How would this when I want to send to subs?

If you are using active powered subswoofer cabs, you connect to the MAIN 1/4'' main mix output jack...

Yes, The XR8600 is heavier than the XR8600D models
