Complete Home Karaoke System that you simply hook up your laptop to it, go online to do karaoke and you are all set! You can also use this for an entry level small bar professional system if your budget forces you to spend less money. Just never forget that you always get what you pay for. Depending upon which ad you are looking at the VIDEO is ONLY meant to cover the operation of the main Peavey PV6500 mixing amplifier & the Peavey PV10 speakers. The system may vary where one customer has corded mics instead, or cheaper wireless mics, or maybe no speaker stands. VIDEO DOES NOT ALWAYS REPRESENT ALL THAT COMES WITH SYSTEM!!!!!!!

This is a TUTORIAL that we did for one of our customers that just purchased this system. They wanted a karaoke system that would surpass what you traditionally buy at your local walmart type places. Also making sure that the cost of the system was on a tight budget in the entry level arena. One thing our company is famous for is telling consumers what they NEED to hear and NOT what so many others feel consumers WANT to hear. Example; Even though many people on a very tight budget might want to buy this system for professional use, we always caution people that a REAL entry level professional karaoke system is actually between $1,200-$2,500.00 and that is us trying our best to educate consumers to be more realistic about how you should look at things. WHY do we even sell systems this cheap? That is a great question because selling cheaper systems can sometimes upset the balance of realism. It makes your so called "wannab" karaoke host think that you can spend next to nothing and start a professional business. That notion is actually backed up by countless veteran karaoke host in this business that would look down upon those that start out cheap like this. With that said. We are NOT telling you that you can't use this for entry level professional. We ARE however telling you to be REALISTIC and understand that you get what you pay for in life. Example of what we mean and how difficult it can be to help consumers sometimes and how EVERYONE has a DIFFERENT opinion one what is good enough for them. The customer this system was sold to actually wanted a $2,000 system and he clearly stated he wanted a LOUD system. What is loud to one person may not be loud to another. See how subjective that is! We joked on the phone that his wife is in charge and that's why he is only spending about $840 plus shipping basically on a system for his home. NOTHING to be ashamed of. Yet must remain firm in the understanding that you are going to get your $840+shipping's worth & if you feel it is not good enough. It will NEVER be because we did not deliver your monies worth, but rather that you NEED to spend more to meet your personal expectations of sound. Reminds us of another customer that called us and said they wanted to purchase a "Top of the line system" & then followed that up with the statement that they only had $1,600.00 to spend. On the surface, it can be viewed as laughable that anyone in their right mind would ever mix "top of line" with "$1,600". Yet we spent the time to explain to the customer all the pros and cons and for them to be realistic about what their money buys them. When they received their system that they paid approx: $1,400+ and shipping cost. The first thing they told us is that they LOVED the system. REALLY? LOL. Now who would of ever thought that it would meet their expectations when top of the line does not exist in those price ranges. For goodness sakes, we just designed a $18,000.00 for a dj this month and EVEN THEN we do not consider that top of the line! This hopefully helps you to understand that everyone's perception is different. Just be REALISTIC and you can't go wrong. Plenty of people that will be more than happy with the system you see in this video. I actually think it is a nice bang for the buck no matter how you slice it. The system is comprised of a Peavey PV6500 mixer amplifier and a set of Peavey PV10 speakers. Depending upon which ad you are looking at, there may be wireless mics, or a cheaper version of the system might have cheaper corded mics or even higher priced corded mics that cost more than the wireless mics, or maybe one version of the system might have a tv stand. Just depends upon what meets the customers needs. MADPROAUDIO ~ DISABLED VETERAN ~ FAMILY OWNED COMPANY

Hello I’m having a few issues I’m hoping you can help me! Your tutorial was a nice start but here’s my situation: i’m a vocalist acoustic guitarist one-man band show and I also hook up midi for background music. I’m trying to get a nice strong reverb for my voice sort of like the Elvis/Roy Orbison sound. I followed your instructions and put the EFX to H1 and the parameter to 55, but it’s still not getting the good strong reverb that I’m looking for how can I get that and what am I doing wrong if at all.

I see the feed back lights came on while you used your wireless Mike! Is that going to hurt the unit? I use it at small nursing homes and didn't really light up had a good size room this last week end and the low to mid- range light up pretty good but it sounded good and no distortion. Should I have adjusted so that wouldn't happen? Thanks

I’m probably doing something wrong?? I have my nonpowered speakers connected to the back… Then I use the monitor out plug to connect my JBL powered speakers… for some reason it’s either or…but can’t use all four speakers?? Am I doing something wrong? Can all four speakers be used?? If so then WOW-this little i8500 is a TITAN! Please let me know-they have us this system as a gift to our church…and clearly I am not to savvy with PA systems thanks

Did this video for a customer. At this point so that you are safe. Just go to peavey.com. and navigate to tech support. Call, they will tell you exactly what to do. I would like to help, but it would take some brushing up again on it as I did this video awhile ago for my customer. That's why I think Peavey can answer it quicker for now.

The video was done for one of our customers. It is super detailed and if you are still having issues, might suggest contacting the manufacturer as it would be tough to guess what you may or may not be doing for the results you are currently getting.

B Ts In the video, it actually shows us hooking up (2) 1/4 speaker cables right into the back of the mixing amplifier. There are a couple ways you can hook it up. You can run it with 2 speakers going left and right out of the back of the amplifier mixer & to the speakers. OR if you had 3 to 4 speakers and was doing karaoke and wanted to use 2 speakers as mains and then the other speakers as a stage monitor for the singers. You can run the 1st. cable into the back of the mixer and into the first speaker, then come right back out of the first speaker and then plug it into the second speaker. Then you use the 2nd speaking output on the back of the mixing amplifier and go out to the monitor speakers. Then you can turn the switch on the front of the amp to select using both main speakers and a monitor speaker and now you can control the volume of each set of speakers separately. Great entry level system. We have a fellow dealer that has 12 of these mixing amplifier systems in their rental department. It's a popular little setup. As long as the consumer understands that you get what you pay for, you will know it's worth and for those that do not like the system, it always means they simply need to spend more to meet their expectations. Hope that made sense. MADPROAUDIO ~ DISABLED VETERAN ~ FAMILY OWNED COMPANY ~ A+ Rating with the BBB

So I have a question on this mixer. Actually I have the 8500 which is basically the same with two more channels and a seperate mon/main out to ext amp. My question is, when I plug a USB flash drive into the 8500, where do I control the volume for the USB signal? I think I see it reading the data on the USB but not getting any output. Thanks

+WiKissfan I would have to double check. But I thought when you have the usb thumbdrive plugged in with mp3 dj music. You then press the grey button down where it shows the sources for mp3 and use that channel to control the volume. Let me know if that fixes your problem. Simple resolution, try another USB drive. The one I originally tried was the one I use in my vehicle stereo, thousands of songs stored in probably 50 folders. Works great in the truck but not in the Peavy. I tried another smaller drive that I just dumped like 30 random songs, not in folders and it worked like a champ. The gain for channel 8 controlled the volume. So I'm good, hate to admit it was that simple but we all learn every day right? Thanks for checking, have a good one.

I am so sorry that I did not reply. We are family owned and my sisters/brothers have their own divisions, so they were not able to reply to you as I handle the KZread. I was in the hospital for a month with Covid phenomena and am only now seeing this. I am actually setting up this system for a customer right now and shipping it in a couple days. If you have not purchased a system yet, go ahead and email sales@madproaudio.com I will help you figure out the best move. & yes. You can hook up a tv, just have educate you as to how the karaoke portion to play music is where you connect your tv to and the audio goes to the actual system.
