Thank you for putting in the time to do this video. This is a great review - you took the time to go through all the settings and tones from different pickups etc. I've been wanting to try the Invective MH but there just aren't any around here so I may have to just order it and hope I like it. For the cab I was thinking about ordering the invective 2X12 which comes with a V30 and a Creamback (which is interesting). But I notice a lot of guys will demo through Mesa cabs so I'm not sure which to order. Thank you again!

Thanks for commenting and for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I told the understand where you're coming from regarding the cab. I would play it safe and get a Mesa cab. That's just my opinion though. Best of luck to you. Let me know what you get and how it works out.

Cleans were excellent. Cleans were as good as the high gain tones. Great review. Fantastic shots of the amp. I was able to see every option and feature the amp had. I assume you kept it at the 20 watt setting? Your videos are definitely the most professional out there. I know I can trust you.

This puts my big issue with the top shelf modelers into perspective- there are so many affordable options to play the real thing (especially when you're shopping used) that paying $1700-$3000 for a modeler (especially one that lacks a power amp and has a steep $ companion controller board) is tough to swallow. Used 5150/6505 heads regularly sell for $500-$600, the 50 watt EVH stuff is in a similar ballpark (and around $1000 new), used 100w class Engl and Mesa amps can be had for $1000-$1500 if you look around enough, and the "lunchbox" class amps are often quite cheap brand new (much less used). Modelers certainly have their place with the massive utility/flexibility/portability/ease of maintenance they offer, but I still believe lots of players these days end up spending way more time and money trying to copy an amp than they would actually buying the amp they want to copy. Yeah, if you want a whole collection of different amps there's a value proposition, but how many of us really use 57 different amp models? How many profiles or preset packs do people purchase of the same amp in lieu of just buying the amp?

Hi Dave, great points here. I have a Kemper ans I love it, BUT real amps are preferred by me as well. And you're so right regarding people having 57 different amp models lol. So many guys get caught in the tweak web. I'd rather play. With my Kemper, I just pick a good profile, choose fx and play

How did you get your hands on this? I've had a preorder for 7 months now 😏 Also, I have noticed that there is no master volume knob anywhere. Is that difficult to control? I assume you use the pre and post knobs for that 🤔 Does the attenuator play a major part in that?

Can you Please Please do a comparison video with this invective mh and the 50w EVH 5150 el34 or the Stealth? There is not a single comparison review anywhere online that i could find. This would Really help me a ton as I am about to order one of the 2 and can't decide? Also how does it take pedals, in front of the amp and in the loop. Thank you

Hey man! Great review! I’ve been playing with the EVH 5150 50w for I don’t remember how long haha And I still love it(best amp I ever played personally)! But still...since I heard of this I got very interested because of the tone first of course, but also because of the features the EVH doesn’t have like the boost, gate and the fact that you directly record in your computer at home without cab...so...I’m thinking of selling my head for this one but here’s my question : Is the clean channel stays clean? Because I noticed since the beginning that the volume knob is call “gain”...I’m just afraid that when I play with my band that it will distort because I’ll have to push it louder of course. I really need the cleans to stay...well clean all the way through haha Thanks!!

The mini is great for the metal sounds, but if you want any kind of versatility you'll only find it on the 120. I was hoping the mini would be a more affordable alternative to the 120, but it's a metal-only disappointment.
