No he wasn't. Lou Conter is the last survivor, is widely recognized, and is one of my close neighbors. Look it up. You are VERY sadly mistaken.

Reading his book now, All The Gallant Men. Very heartbreaking.
One of the survivors from the USS Arizona is my friend and neighbor Lou Conter. One of the very last ones. Last summer we had his 100th birthday celebration out on his front lawn. He still gets around pretty good, and his mind and memory are as sharp as a razor's edge. I hope we get to keep him for a few more years, at least!

What you guys are telling us we can never learn in school or read in a textbook. As long as you guys are around we can continue to learn about Pearl Harbor

Really you guys never learned this. I learned about pearl harbor when I was living in Hawaii, Oahu and also my great grandma told me a story about how she was young when it happened and how she had to use a mask for weeks to go to school because air was bad or something like that

I am 15, and I realize that we wouldnt have the present without the past. If it wasn't for our WWII veterans we most likely wouldn't be here, at least not with all our common comforts. I'm going to make sure my generation KNOWS! 👍
I respect all of you vetrans 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Wow I can’t believe they actually fought in this
just wow ! I decided to look up this cuz I just watched the pearl harbour movie and i cried and it was horrible ! so now i just spend the last hour looking up stuff it's terrible but still so interesting
My admiration to all those who served and still do so my kids spent German or Japanese if they chose to.
The attack was in direct response to the economic embargo, the Hull note and Rainbow Five.
ahh yes, the elephant in the room. My birthday is on a day when many people died...
I salute you American army while I watch my tears drop... I love american I salute you all...
Poor guys
that is sad
I didn't know History channel were showcasing anything real still... when I think about Oax of Oak island on this channel, I reallay didn't think they would talk about real historical things like Pearl Harbor.
❤️
I literally just finished class while learning about the Pearl Harbor, its so heartbreaking. (P.S. I'm in 3rd grade.)
✊
Dang the one that was 103 years old look very healthy

My dad worked at a veterans home when I was a kid so I spent a lot of time with WW1 and WW2 veterans who partly raised me. There was a very nice man who would always joke with me and buy me apple pie at the convenient store whose name was Stanley he was in Pearl Harbor I believe he died in Omaha Nebraska where I am from can somebody find this mans history? Also my grandpa William Knott who also served whom I never met.
To all the men who died for the USA on that day. Respect the soldiers and nurses who survived that day.
Ok so woww. The guy in 1:18 does not look like he's 103 years old.

No it didn't
interesting how the people who were actually there don't carry any hatred or anger for the people on the other side, but people who weren't involved and weren't even born then try to justify their hatred for others based on that event
There are now just 19 survivors of the attack remaining in May 2024.
I go to pearl harbor i so the sank ship
🇺🇸✊🏻✊✊🏾🙏🏾
It makes sad how the current generation doesnt even know when PH happened.
JoyDeb 🙏
I remember my grandpa doesnt want to go to any Japanese restaurants because he remembers his friend die on this mission
