Just saw Weird Al in Grand Junction last night and his encore blew my mind. It was 10 minutes of something along the lines of a Maori Haka on crack. The band did it with him in perfect unison and it ended with a mantage of Nirvana, Amish paradise , word crimes. I can't express how grateful i am to be alive at the same time as Weird Al. The fact that he visited Grand Junction Colorado is huge. He could have easily sold out 2 nights in Denver, but instead visits Grand Junction and Greeley Colorado. Who does that?

I met Chris Ballew when he did a surprise appearance (seriously, it was a same day announcement I think) at my tiny town's library in Washington state. It was so cool to see him basically perform out of a guitar case, and he was super nice and down to earth while he took pictures with me and my 3 year old daughter. Fun fact, Weird Al performed the accordion accompaniment to Chris's Caspar Baby pants song, Long Long Dream. It makes sense because a lot of Caspar Babypants songs are like junior versions of Weird Al's songs.
@justinmanser7525 Жыл бұрын
Knowing how great a musician Al is, seeing him genuinely appreciate the simplest chords with such enthusiasm is a testament to his wonderful character. I'm counting the days until the Weird Al movie, and the inevitable global realization of this magical entertainer and hopefully his backing band, who themselves deserve recognition for their contributions to the some times all too serious music industry. I'd rather stick my nostrils together with crazy glue, Than spend one more minute with you.

I like how Chris Ballew was going to stand on the stool, got one foot on it, and went 'Nope, that swivels, bad idea.'

yeah, I saw that! Lol! I bet he's thinking, "maybe if I was 20 years younger"
I saw an article about this video. I surprised myself. That's the happiest I've been in a while just to see that video. LOL
I am so happy this exist
What a completely unexpected surprise!
Fun fact: This man is 62 years old
Peaches is a fantastic song! Love the Presidents. Great job Al! 💖
Well that was very entertaining. 2 of my favorites on 1 stage. I've got just as many Weird Al Yankovic CDs as I've got of The Presidents of the United States of America's CDs. Thanks for the awesome video!
I saw him at Hersheypark during his Running With Scissors tour. He was scheduled to do two shows that day, but the crowd was so big, he added a third show at the last minute.

Sounds like he did the "Yoda Chant" What's crazy is it changes from tour to tour, but they always do it in unison and with a medley of songs

i love just how perfect this is
How many people know about Al's TV show? If you do, you can really say that you are a true fan.
I think about Weird Al all the time. At random points in my life. I was at the arcade the other day thinking about him. So random. Yet so awesome
I'd honestly like to hear an album where Weird Al just covers songs like this. I think it'd be great

I guess that mean that you'll never know what to expect at a "Weird Al" concert.
How is it humanly possible for one person to contain this much awesome?

Oh huzzah. How gloriously daft.
When the writer of the song joins you on stage. Epic moment! I still have copies of the first 3 albums on vinyl, original release. They sound great!

I can’t wait to go to his concert!! 😝
😭😭😭 Takes me back to the late 90's.
I was lucky enough to be living in Panorama city California, when he was just getting started playing on the Dr. Demento show! loved his songs its still billy joel to me and pac-man!
Going to see him in a few days for his Ill advised vanity tour super pumped
This is so good. I would love an album of covers of Al's favourite songs.
I absolutely lost my mind and even cried when this happened last night, Al. Thank you for everything. You're a huge inspiration to me as a musician...well...drummer. But I like to write lyrics too so I like to think that kind of counts in some way.
You know you made awesome music when Al just covers it and doesn't parody it.
I was a dj when this song came out. And to my knowledge I was the first person to play it on the radio at least anywhere in my vicinity. Hearing the two collaborate doing this song had never occurred to me. Now I realize that this performance is the duet that I needed in my life right now. I hear this and I think to myself, everything is going to be ok.
This is the stuff in music than transcends all, you can't put this into words....I dunno why it makes me cry but it does!
I have listened to this lyrical wordsmith since i was but a tween. and still he sounds great and hasn't lost that fire of his youth.
Awesome duet! Keep it up, Al!
How absolutely marvellous xoxoxo can't wait until the world is opened back up enough to see this magic back down in Australia :)
I'd rather stick my nostrils together with crazy glue, Than spend one more minute with you.
seeing him in about two weeks and this has me even more excited
That genuinely put a smile on my face!
The only way I could be more excited about this is if I saw it live. This makes me so happy. I want to share this with all of me nonexistent friends!
Where can I get more 👍 buttons, cannot express this enough.
This is the OG peaches song
The presidents are one of my favourite bands! When I saw the title, I thought "nah, it couldn't be..."
Saw Al play in Bend Or on the 25th of the june, was the first Al concert ive ever been to and the first concert in about 15 years. Great show, Great Night, Thanks for doing what you do Al, You and you band have helped keep my spirit up over the years.
This songs is definitely really fun to sing. Good job!
Two of my most favorite people!! Awesome
I just can't stop raving about Al's impeccable vocal technique and the skill of his band. Rock on. Stay weird.
Al is 1000% my favorite musical artist
Love you Al! Always amazing to see you post new videos:) especially when you're playing some bangers like Peaches💯
Are we going to talk about the name of the concert tour? I love it! (More folks should name their tours something similar. We all know I'm right.)
My childhood just came full circle. Incredible. 🙌
This man's lovin' life, and I am here for it!
Well, this was amazing.
I hope Al keeps rockin’ for many years. I was that “brave” kid in high school wearing a Dare to be Stupid shirt. Saw Al in Pueblo at the State Fair, Running with Scissors tour, then again for Poodle Hat at the Pepsi Center. An amazing performer.
The Doors and PUSA are two of my all time favorite bands. Weird Al loves both and has worked with them perfectly. This brings joy to my soul 😊
Breaking news : after several centuries weird al started to age and he still looks great
@ConstantlyDamaged

But Chris is still holding off from dipping his toes into the aging pool. Somehow that guy looks just as he did in the 90s.
If you ever want an example of what it is to be authentic, look no further. What a poetic twist that someone popularly known for parodies is one of the most original living musical artists. How many many people he has empowered to be themselves. Just awesome
If time ran in reverse... Weird Al Yankovic would be a comedic artist of such amazing variety and talent that musicians everywhere would make covers of his songs as tribute.
Still sounds GREAT!
That was what the world needs now.
An ultimate performer.
This song never gets old!
Glad I saw like 3/4 of the Seattle part of this tour in person. Amazing show
Another reminder that weird Al is immortal.
