Running for the European elections on 9 June 2024 is a milestone for MERA25 Germany, and we are full of motivation and commitment to put our campaign for a democratic Europe into practice together with you.
Therefore, we are organising this get-together to present our candidates, and to discuss our program on “Peace - Solidarity - Freedom” with you.
The day is divided into different formats: Our candidates will open the floor at 17:00, introducing MERA25’s vision and core demands for the people of Europe, including Yanis Varoufakis, who is joining us live online.
The official part will conclude with a panel discussion on interconnected struggles, with MERA25 candidates in discussion with inspiring guests. As you all know, freedom for Palestine has become central to our understanding of liberation, so expect that it will not be forgotten.
On June 9, at the EU elections, let's make Germany's government pay at the ballot box. Our political party MERA25 Germany will keep fighting for peace, dignity and fredoom against all forms of injustice.

Neo liberalism and capitalism took my freedom away. Before Reagan Thatcher and Howard's policies took effect in the economy, my job paid for my life, I had choices. Now Oligarchs have reduced those choices down to nothing, my highly developed skills have been outbid by an algorithm that has yet to be priced. After a life of valued work, I've achieved nothing but pay other's mortgages for them and slaved for the privilege of filling landlord's and employer's boots for no tangible compensation. I'm now left without a home and subsequently without a family, my career fell off an artificial cliff, and I'm looking at a retirement in only a few years of poverty and homelessness. F this Orwellian nightmare that is neo liberalist capitalism.

Excellent event and very well conducted. My favorite line (by the lawyer for Yanis and Abu Sitta): "The rule of law is suspended every time the state apparatus does not get what it wants" ...

Yanis’ main narrative (story of how we got here) is backed up by SO many sources. Materialist, realist, idealist… to some extent even meta-modernist viewpoints converge towards the same holistic. This is also spread across cultures - our own, the east, south or with smaller indigenous groups. This reduces the “western” or modernist deconstructions to mere beliefs - a naturalisation of our own externalities and the harm it induces through centuries. We have been in this before, but “the world” was only Europe. This time, it’s global. Economics are at best subsets of ecology - not the other way around (ref. Greek etymology and intention or 1860’s minting of the latter…). Best wishes from the budding Oslo Collective - Carpe Diem…! 🔥

You need to talk about the weapons manufacturer lobby, western oligarchs and the financial sector’s influence on politicians specifically. Individuals and corruption needs to be NAMED and SHAMED!
