@@radams2403 it broke my heart to watch that docu on Assange released all over Aussie cinemas, called The Trust Fall, it was painful to see how vindictive and fascistic the uSA and Uk governments are in Assange’s incarceration! The Swedish people colluded yet lied, about the rape, and then the Aussie government had more loyalty to the uSA as their lapdogs instead of protecting their citizenship It’s all a scary signal for any of us who are citizens of these countries that our government won’t protect us! When exposing the brutal truth is seen as a crime and criminal genocide is backed by billions we know we live in the ‘hunger games’ dystopia!

It certainly not China which has no bases near the USA shoreline! The Ukraine war is also a US proxy war Maa they openly decided to ignore the Minks agreement, to enable them to arm Ukraine so it can fight the Russians! Australian political scientists, politicians, policy-makers, industry groups, business councils, unions, business leaders, banks and anyone with a long-term interest in Australia should listen carefully to Yanis' address. His global experience, economic analysis and fearless advice and advocacy are a rare combination. To hear an address that not only questions the status quo but also points to its detrimental impact on the nation makes his address worthy of further debate. Australian shibboleths are squarely and rightly in his cross-hairs. Take the astute holes and houses reference for example. What resonates with me in listening to this address throughout is: As our economies embrace cloud capitalism, whose interests are we serving? Who is benefiting from the New Cold War? What can and should we learn from China? How should Australian sovereignty be preserved? And ultimately, do our leaders have the right courageous vision to deliver for all Australians?

No response from that guy after that. As Yanis has said other times, Greece and other European countries where corruption and tax evasion exists, are just small fry, petty bourgeois tax dodgers, whilst rich industrial countries with their hugely profitable companies and banks are industrial-scale corruption and tax evasion and in the bigger picture, much more harmful. Unfortunately our politicians here in australia lack all these qualities and that is why we never hear these ideas from our local representatives. Have always respected and enjoyed Yanis' speeches for their intelligent and intellectual contents. Alas, for all his wisdom and political experiences though, his knowledge of China has proven to be somewhat deficient. As a Chinese born in Hong Kong who have spent fifteen years living in the Western world and currently residing in Hong Kong, I can honestly say that while China still has a lot of room to improve on both the social and political front, it is nothing like what Yanis (or his friends) has described it to be. I would suggest that Yanis (this applies to all foreigners too) spend more time visiting China and seeing China for himself instead of relying on third party recounts which could be distorted/subjective despite the best of intentions.
