Small channels keep surprising me,I didnt expect much seeing the view count but I enjoyed the video a lot.Good pacing,decently in-depth and nice to listen to,something most small creators cant do.I'd say its close to some 10-100k+ sub channels in terms of quality,hope you continue like this.

Cops have no dmg fall off, spawn wherever YOU are atm, always have the same hp (so outrunning them and making a pocket to breath is useless) And theyeeven stagger as far as I can tell. Play light ballistic vest and😢get 7 bags to van, in NRFTW? And you will see what I mean. (Also fuse boxes not probably highlighted. Even Hostages not highlighted) Every skill point means jack shit.

I hope Payday 3's downfall being online only despite having nearly everything right, serves as a message to every other developers/publishers that want to make their game online only despite being possible to be played offline although it seems like Payday 3 took the hit the hardest because they didn't have servers ready to survive the incoming launch players.

Everything right? What is "right"? The hated, annoying, crap XP system based on idiotic things like "Slide 500 meters"? The braindead AI? The lack of Weapons? The lack of Weapon modifications? The lack of weapon and weapon modifications that actually feel different? The lack of proper skill trees and skill builds, thus there's basicaly one viable set for loud? The "stand in a circle like a moron" gameplay? The horrendous, amateur voice acting? The lack of actual difficulties? The boring, uninspired, short missions? The fact there are only 8? The crappy, half-assed, lazy cutscenes? The incoherent story? What does the game do "right"? Because i can't really see much and seems like everybody agree, judging by the player numbers. This is basically a rehash of that horrendous Walking Dead game they puked out some years ago.

Honestly I think payday 3 is great but missing a lot. Though they had a rough launch gameplay is still fun and chaotic. But they are missing a lot of charm and other content. Not many voice lines during combat and missing basic weapons like akimbos, lmgs, and melee weapons. Basically sold a skeleton waiting to be filled with content over the coming years

​@imExtaze I believe you are correct sir it doesn't excuse it of course not but we cannot let people forgot that when it comes to this franchise we have actually got less in the past believe it or not (payday the heist actually had 6 heists on lauch) but me personally I am optimistic for the future because payday 3 has a good foundation but it does have some issues (progression system, ui problems, terrible team ai etc) we will see what this game has in store because I do not wanna see this game die I wanna see it thrive

​@@s1moncsThe main problem is that EXP gain got butchered hard and is extremely awful as opposed to payday 2. I have actually seen people gain more EXP farming micro cams then quitting and retrying, then full stealth runs. The main problem unlike PAYDAY 2 is that EXP was actually greatly properly placed out. There's alot of good videos on this problem that properly delve into the EXP troubles of PAYDAY 3 vs Payday 2 that I could not properly explain here in detail because I am dumb to explain in a amount of detail that isn't too cluttered or too simplified.

i like the new system tbh. it makes armor more valuable instead of just a safety net that comes back if you *maybe* break it. one of the main pd2 to pd3 changes i really like and think is for the better. not that the pd2 system was bad, but its a fine evolution. that and the overkill weapons (those are just cool)

I think one of the biggest problems with Payday 3 (barring the atrocious servers, the lack of offline mode, etc) is that there's just... what I can best describe as a lack of charm in comparison to payday 2, was Payday 2 scuffed? Abso-fucking-lutely, but there was *charm* to it, Bain, Vlad, Locke, all of the people directing the payday gang on their heists had different unique personalities, the special enemies were unique and infamous, Bulldozers were big, loud and cocky/aggressive, Tasers were weirdos, Cloakers were shittalkers and medics were nerds and relatively sane cops. On Payday 3? They've gone for a more realistic artstyle and granted, the graphics are pretty, but there's no charn to it, yes the Cloakers are a little scarier, but they just don't have the same charm as Payday 2's Cloakers, the new announcer just doesn't feel like a character and it just feels drab and depressing/gritty in comparison to the charm of payday 2. Hell, even the HUD feels lifeless. What I'm trying to say, is that Payday 3 has what I jokingly call "A crippling lack of rizz." To the point that I would've rather had the disparity between Payday 2 on consoles and PC to be finally addressed permanently rather than functionally abandoning the console community and releasing what is effectively a less charming and fun game.

new challenges based progression system is also not very good, and they have recieved a lot of backlash about it. Apparently they are planning to change it, so here's hoping they will actually bring the game to a decent state after a while

Yeah my biggest issue was definitely the lack of content like they really couldn't have given us more than 2 overkill weapons? :/

I really hate the concept, because it means any of the really fun over-the-top weapons from payday 2 will be inevitably locked behind this system. Mini guns, rpgs, grenade launchers, or even high-caliber firearms. The -piglet- mamba isn’t even that good!

Thank you and well I honestly wasn't the biggest fan of the Infamy system, I hope that there can be more for players because the replayability was a huge factor in Payday 2 that helped retain its reputation.

All of your points are fair points that I agree with (I didn't really play the game yet, but I heard of it), and I'm sure if Overkill fixes all of the server issues, that challenge system and DOESN'T ADD MICROTRANSACTIONS AND ONLY DLCS then the game can redeem itself, as it is a fun game. Also good to see another Vlad enjoyer, he's such a good guy. Loved him every second in 2.

I understand there not being a lot of guns and heists in the game right now, and I'm willing to forgive that assuming more comes out in the future. However, "Online Only" in a game like this is unacceptable.

Enjoyed the video. Great review. There is so much they botched with this game. It's unfortunate. Not just what you mentioned, but the game just isn't set up for solo play. Even if the servers were. The AI suck compared to 2. With the exception of being able to get them to help carry bags in stealth and them occasionally dropping armor/health/ammo. You can no longer have them stay in a particular location. They don't help each other up. You can't customize them. They go down quickly on anything higher than hard difficulty. The weapons drops are a nightmare, and normally on the opposite side of the map. The skills just aren't there. Like no way to speed up hacking. The motion sensors quit working after a certain period of time. No ammunition upgrades. No AP rounds? The matchmaking system is a nightmare. No mics unless you're in a group. No kick option. No staying in a lobby after a successful heist. I could go on and on.

Honestly, you got great videos considering how small this channel is. Everyone should look at your older vids too, they’re great too

honestly, i enjoy payday 3, a LOT, but Jesus Christ the servers are terrible. along with the "online only" change, the gunplay is fun and the stealth play is fun, the movement is pretty fluid. however the way the ai feels is just....plain, where as payday 2 had enemies react to you shooting them (getting knocked around) the enemies in payday 3 just take it all to the chin like its nothing, they are literal bullet sponges. taking about 4 shotgun shots to take down an enemy, the lack of heavy weapons is depressing (literally only two), the attachments for each weapon do little to nothing in terms of changing how the gun works (no different ammo types, very little changes to things like recoil), sad amount of weapons for its release, same for masks. plus the whole "already upgraded" weapons are dumb as fuck,

With how little base content there is and how they’re immediately going to release paid content I think we all know what their intentions are

This game would have been received much better if you could play solo and p2p wuth friends. Forced online play is not only unnecessary, its an arbitrary mechanic thats only purpose is to completely deny players access to the game they payed for when starbreeze shuts off the servers in ten years(if they dont go under first).

I've been currently deciding if I should buy Payday 2 or 3 first (Yes I'm late to the party). This has painted a better picture for me. Thanks man!

worst part is when you are finally playing and a cloaker jumps you "why don't you go completely offline?" I wish i could cloaker,, god knows I wish I could. talk about rubbing salt in the wound.

i'll always say, they had 5 years (after "the end of payday 2" with the white house dlc dropping) to make this game which is more than enough time and revenue considering how much dlc they dropped post 2018. there's no reason as to why the game is in such a horrible state as 5 years is way too long to make, and even though i love overkill/starbreeze, it doesn't and won't give them a pass for why their game came out in such a bad state. i was really surprised that you didn't touch on the leveling system as well but it's one of the more touched on topics so i can understand leaving it out. anyway my ranting and rambling is done, great video

The whole Payday 3 situation sucks, and what is even worse is that a lot of the problems with the game could be foreseeable or mitigated to a certain extent. They had a winning formula, and they went in too hard on reinventing the wheel with things like armour, skills and progression. They had a lot of cool masks and guns, which they have limited down to a pathetically small amount for 3. But worst of all, the decision to use Deep Silver as a publisher. The amount of projects that those publishers have sunk in recent times should be raising alarm bells for developers moving forward as they don't seem to learn from their meddling, especially big projects that they can milk for the big bucks. The publisher had the devs by the balls and pushed for things like online only and anti cheat/ modding measures in an attempt to at the very least delay people from hacking/ modifying DLC into the game for free. I am going to be so pissed if this nightmare launch ends up pulling the plug on Payday 3, because if recent trends are anything to go off, it will take down Starbreeze with it.

Currently this week's peak on steam (not counting other platforms) was 11k ish players. Payday 2 peaked at 42k. Thats pretty bad for a game on its third week of release

The launch really did hurt this game so bad, I’ve been playing for just under 100 hours and have gotten to the 90-100 level range, the only problem is most of it was solo or in pubs because friends are just… afraid to give the game a shot, and I really can’t blame them, the only reason I’m still playing is because (for me personally) the servers have been phenomenal, and I really enjoy playing all the different heists. Despite the lack of weapons too, I find myself using a variety of them and enjoying myself, rather than meta hugging I can just use what I want and have a good time, regardless though, Overkill just has to show that they care, and I hope they do that with the October patch.

Good work my guy, loving that overpass in the background and I don't really know why.

After their Walking Dead game it is no surprise they are unable to deliver.

I would like to add a few more things for this videos: - Monetisation gonna get a whole lot worse cause there will be MTX in the form of skins, Season pass for Heists - Weapons - Characters (Pre-order in short), Nebula+ which is a premium service for Nebula. On the lighter note, console players have some better things than Payday 2 such as untouched balancing issues and.... u237 which discourage me from playing Payday 2 for months.

I just hit level 49 and I'm enjoying the game a lot. Definitely had server issues in the beginning but it's been pretty much ironed out with me only having one drop in awhile.

Something that really frustrated me is that Payday 3's menu and interface is really poorly designed. It might seem like a small nitpick, but to me it was the best way to show why Payday 3 sucks. It is barebones, carelessly implemented, and poorly organized. Only the heists and the core gameplay is good. It has hope. But they just dumped the game on us with no polish and just threw together the gun and skill and progression system. Also, the story was lazy too. It needs more than a year to get anywhere near acceptable.

You are 100% correct. But the server issues are what left a sour taste in many players' mouths at launch and that will have to be something PAYDAY 3's reputation will have to overcome in the future.

They made damn sure to make the game as unfun as possible,it’s a literal comparison between Left 4 Dead and Back 4 Dead. Tried to hard to look cool and be like Cod MW2

Aside from the servers going haywire the first few days the game is solid for what it is granted it does feel a bit barebones with the lack of heists,weapons and cosmetics and a few quality of life things that weren’t implemented that were relevant in payday 2. It’s definitely not game of the year but is neither a terrible game by any means either. It surely has potential and if done right they can make this game flourish.

Payday 3 needs mic chat for each heist by default, no invites and parties. Its so annoying setting up a zipline and having scrubs take the long way with the loot.

The weapons need serious rebalancing. M4 Edit: Technically the pump shotgun is viable in stealth because it has a suppressor available

I've personally never had an issue getting into a lobby but the majority of the time my lobby is just bots which aren't the worst shooting AI companions in video games I've dealt with but it still makes the game a bit more difficult than dealing with real people and having to split the reward with bots also is a bummer cause you do 90% of the work.

Being honest about the content, Payday 2 originally had a sad amont of content too on release. The mask and weapons were just as boring. I see it everytime i go on the first page of my inventory where i kept my old masks. But it is sad to restart from the begining again.

It got pulled out of the oven way to early. After having stood with one leg in the grave you'd think they'd be desperate to make a great and Functional game. I see potential but it's not delivered yet.

My nitpicks are a bit different, not because I dont agree with what has been said already, but because no one else seems to share similar concerns. Payday 3 has terrible sound design. Guns sound like they were recorded in a sound proof room, with a bunch of acoustic dampening foam on the walls. Firing a weapon in a large building should have sound carry through it, or at least the room you're in. The same goes for alleyways and streets. Payday 2 got the sound design right, or at least much better than Payday 3 did, which means Overkill/Starbreeze knew how to do it, but still did it wrong with Payday 3. My reload should not sound so nearly as loud as the firing of my unsuppressed pistol Another issue is some of the animations. Reloads for multiple weapons just feel wrong. The pump action shotgun is an excellent example, if you actually need one. Some firing animations are a bit odd as well. Pistols, like the Chimano or the Signature, have slow-moving slides. This isnt a really big deal for most people, but if you see how the animations work in Payday 2, then compare to Payday 3, you will see a bit of a visual downgrade.

In my opinion payday 3 in its core is actually very fun and a good game I like the style and gameplay a lil more than payday 2 even ngl, but its the fact that A. the servers dead on launch and online only kill any potential for payday 3 to be better than payday 2 and B. the very weird and not payday like progression system which is something you would expect to find in a game like cod or battlefield not in any payday game or matter of fact any coop shooter like payday

The main problem with modern gaming. "Release it now. We can fix it in patches and DLC."

Man,it is a shame how PD 3 end up. Its like they forgot everything they learned, put some half way experimental stuff and forget about the rest. Like,man, whats this Battlefield 2042 level of BS of no voice chat?, is that a legacy feature now?.

To this day i dont understand how game companies fuck up their servers so badly. Is the tech maybe not a thing? How come 3 guys in a shed make a better server with $50 laptops while big releases like payday 3 or any modern blizzard game fail to provide a solid server system? I'm actually confused as to how that happens

It's not horrible, but there's lots that needs to change, and it's content is only puddle depth. Also, nice pickup truck

at least they are fixing and improving the game unlike other companies (looking at you EA). status now the game has no more server issues at least in EU and the progression is being reworked. also they said that if enough people want specific things they will do them sooner. all in all good video tho

Payday 3 is somehow worse than Payday 2 at its lowest point and thats saying something.

Honestly the lack of content, gameplay wise as well as in cosmetic choice, doesn't really bother me much. I'm personally only really concerned with the mechanical satisfaction that games can offer past the menu's and lobby screens, and PAYDAY 3 is exactly what I hoped for and more in that respect. Although the server issues are just pitiful. Great game, just can't play it half the time.
