In 2006, this copy of the first “exact facsimile” of the Declaration was cleaned out of a garage and donated to a thrift shop, where it sold for the thrift shop “standard price” of $2.48. The buyer researched it, had it authenticated, and sent it to a top conservator. He then sold in 2007 at Raynor’s Historical Collectible Auction, for $477,000. After post-discovery press, the donor came forward (“I was the idiot,” he said). He explained that cleaning out the garage was part of his recent pre-marriage negotiation. Out went a great deal of junk-along with the Declaration that he had bought it at a flea market for $10 a decade earlier). We acquired this document for a client in 2008.

Here's a lesson kiddies, once a buyer starts claiming what it's going to cost him to own what you're selling but is still interested in what you're selling Walk Away! Because you can get a lot more than whatever he is about to offer. This piece needs to be sold at auction, not a pawn shop because a private collector will pay what you're asking and sometimes twice it's value.

Nah man,I think you made a mistake calling them thieves... FOR STUFF LIKE THIS (and many other shit) BOTH OF THEM I JUST HATE AND HATE WITH THE DEEPEST PASSION THERE IS !!! And so... You know my brother those *HighRollerThieves* almost always (98% of them) are gentleman and very, very polite and generally people. But these two... Well these two well fed pigs are just *_JUNKIES! JUNKIES PROVEN BY THE LAW (a few times) !!!_* And they also look like they somehow found themselves in a Pawn_Shop after some bad&fucked up trip... *_p.s. Oh yes,I almost forgot, they are also totaly, uncontrollably & utterly stupid and their never ending atupidity grows from the day they were born (and it grows by the hour) !!!! Not even dear Lord could ever help to two stupid motherfuckers such as these two !_*

Lol no they don’t. They’re millionaires. They have plenty of business and it hasn’t slowed down in many many years. They just deter people like me or you. You got to understand that they’re in Vegas and Vegas has people from all over the world going there and bringing their items they want to sell. Also they have a tv show so people want to be on it and they’ll sell for whatever price than they normally would. I’ve been there 2 summers ago and I missed the whole crew by a few days because they all literally take the entire summer off for vacation. I talked to a really cool employee they have who pretty much told me a lot. Because I was pretty upset that I missed them, especially by a couple of days. I like rick. Most of you all hate him. The reason why rick is who he is and has what he has is because of who he is and how he does things.

Buyer beware... also, seller beware. A pawn shop is often a last, least appealing resort for someone needing money for an object that a prospective seller values. No one forces anyone to go to a pawn shop to sell an item. And a pawn shop is relying on the seller's potential desperation for money. A seller can always walk away. Just because something might be worth X does not mean they will ever realize X for it.
