The seller was super respectful. Hopefully he sells them for what he's asking for.

i like how the son stayed calm and offered advice to this guy negotiating his gloves. you could see he was excited about selling the product. but the excitement isnt shared when running a business pawn stars

I feel so sorry about the seller, you could see his disappointment when he heard the value, I hope he got his 300k for it later for the charity

He was asking for $300,000 but he only sold it for $40,000 so that's a fraction of the price.

This guy should just mail Stallone and tell him the money goes for charity. He would prolly buy it for 300k

That expert is usually pretty spot on, but if (as he said) those are the only pair of gloves Marciano every boxed with I feel like at the proper auction they are probably more like $50-$100k.

More of a behind the scenes deal going on which happens often on this show, a valuable item comes in but needs more proof, the seller gets the item on the market in a big way through the show, the pawn shop receives great credibility and viewers are tuning-in. definitely a win-win

One of the things that drives me crazy about this is when the experts ask what their questions are, what their concerns are. You don't need to ask the question it's always the same thing is it real and how much is it worth and how much can I steal it for?

I don't think I've ever seen them steal anything. But if you want a retail price for something you don't take them to a place that has to resell it, they only pay wholesale. Kind of like that McDonald's cheeseburger didn't actually cost them $4.50 to make, closer to .75 cents, but most people don't claim they are stealing.

It's not that simple. A good auction house will need you to authenticate the item first, even before they put it on their auction slot.

I grew up in Brockton, mass . Awesome to have grew up in the city of champions.

That first offer almost knocked him out, LOL.

You have to admit you would probably buy anything from this guy just from the way he talks alone he's very good

I love the fact I’m from mass which just makes watching this that much better

Rocky was undefeated, but it took him a long time to get to the top and he didn't have many title defenses before he retired. HIs style was unlike anyone I have ever watched.

Only 6 title defenses and the average age of his opponents was 34 years old - not exactly fighters in their prime. The one fighter in his prime he did fight was Roland LaStarza.... He won a close, controversial first fight but ko'd LaStarza in their second fight. An over the hill Joe Louis and old Archie Moore accentuates the point of older fighters. Jersey Joe was the oldest heavyweight ever at the time (George Foreman broke the record) Rocky fought him and Ezzard Charles was a worn out former light heavyweight, now at heavyweight, who gave him problems in their first fight before being ko'd in the second.

This was in season 9, which aired in 2014. Mayweather retired in 2017. So, you using Mayweather as a tool to dispute what Rick said is moot.

this was JOHNNY PRETZIE BOUT gloves... it was auction 2016 and only 3 bidders went for it and only @ $15k and the trunks went for around $6k paired with some picture with autograph.

The skit was over the moment he said "No paperwork, but I can get it".
