Cool idea. Though if you reseach Pavegen's product it you will see it does not generate much energy. For instance 1200 people, during a Google demostration in Germany, generated enough power to run a vacuum cleaner for 16 minutes or so. If the parts of the system last 100 years it is way worth it. But if the parts last a year or two and need to be replaced/repaired it may not be worth it's cost to produce and install and maintain it.

This didn’t explain how it works

You didn't understand the equation did you? They clearly explained it in the video: footsteps + pavegen = energy! It's so simple it HAS to work 😂

Hi! we found your project very innovative and unique, especially it deals with the conservation of energy in our modern world. As a researcher and a student taking aviation studies from PATTS College of Aeronautics in the Philippines, we would like to ask a permission to use this video in our research as we seek to know its potential in our country specifically the Ninoy Aquino International Airport or the Manila International Airport to sustain a specific airport operation/s. research title is "The potential of pavegen tiles to Ninoy Aquino International Airport towards a more sustainable airport operations". your reply will be very much appreciated! Thank you!

Assuming everyone just walks on them in a demonstration, great idea. In reality, there’s no way this is viable.

@@StrikeBuddyAt It would also be useful in high traffic areas, such as in Tokyo, Japan.

@@adamcaillouette7375 You people have no understanding of basic physics nor engineering, op is right not viable. This is going to be like solar roadways all over again

@@adamcaillouette7375use in high traffic areas would require time enough for the system to rebound upwards, constant load won't generate energy

Pretty interesting. But isn't this at least partially robbing energy from people who walk on it?, and what is the ROI?
