Cool idea. Though if you reseach Pavegen's product it you will see it does not generate much energy. For instance 1200 people, during a Google demostration in Germany, generated enough power to run a vacuum cleaner for 16 minutes or so. If the parts of the system last 100 years it is way worth it. But if the parts last a year or two and need to be replaced/repaired it may not be worth it's cost to produce and install and maintain it.

Assuming everyone just walks on them in a demonstration, great idea. In reality, there’s no way this is viable.

@@adamcaillouette7375use in high traffic areas would require time enough for the system to rebound upwards, constant load won't generate energy

Pretty interesting. But isn't this at least partially robbing energy from people who walk on it?, and what is the ROI?
