This guy has finally found his comedic self; and he seems so much happier, funnier, and less cringy. The way he used to say things....about Izzy and all others... it's pretty cringy, because he didn't have his timing and comedy down. But now, god, with his "secret juice" by his side all the time... the guy is hilarious, poking fun AT himself as well as at all others, esp. the Chechen guy! lol

This is actually huge for the entire UFC community. Paulo is a huge personality and so many Brazilian stars usually refuse to sharpen their english. He speaks so well but he’s also interesting! This interview just gave him so many fans.

How many people make an effort to sharpen their Portugese? It is not so much a refusal, English is well known to be one of the hardest languages to learn, just seems very natural when it is your native language. I am English by the way.

@@fabiantimmins2224 There’s no incentive to improve Portuguese because you’ll only be known by the Brazilian fan base, which is a fraction of the viewers. If you learn English people from the US, UK, New Zealand, and Australia will catch notice and that’s where the biggest fan base is.

Thats why I think Arial should get a lot more credit and respect than he gets! He shows the world who these guys are besides just fighters, and he truly has love for them. I cant say enough good things about the guy. Everyone should tune in to MMA hour before any other platform, because he cares and truly shines a light on these guys for who they are. I’ve been following Paulo for 6 years now. He was a big promise here in Brazil. He used to come out as very arrogant and entitled, which I felt was justified given the trail of bodies he was leaving behind. Ever since his loss to Israel, he’s been changing into something much better. He’s still a very different person in contrast to his English persona. He’s not funny at all in Portuguese, but he is a straight shooter. Says what he means and means what he says.

@@donsandrano1429I'm pretty sure he's mentioned that he earned 30,000 per fight up until the Luke rockhold fight. So ye he was getting screwed over having to fight world class fighters for 30k.
Amazing what learning English can do to boost a person's career. I always liked Paulo as a fighter because he's aggressive and he goes after his opponent. Not sure what happened to him in the Adysanya fight . Ever since he learned English and I can understand him now I've been a fan of his personality. I hope he gets that Khamzat fight because I believe he beats Khamzat.

Paulo seemed kinda nervous at 12:00 when the guy came to fix the mic. He was definitely telling the truth when he told Ariel earlier that he was actually nervous. He's got a confident persona but he's actually seeming like a kinda shy guy.
This interview and the haircut was pure gold… we need a Paulo on the show regular

From being hate to being the most lovable guy, what a guy Paulo is.
I remember rooting against Costa when he fought Hendricks, Hall, Romero, Izzy and even Vettori because I was either a fan of the others or because of Paulo's antics, missed weight or contract complaints. Suddenly, dude starts being himself and looking happy and I see myself rooting for him against pretty much any other middleweight except maybe against Whitaker. I'd love to actually see him go against Adesanya again.

Been a Borrachinha fan since his UFC debut. He has really gotten comfortable being himself in media and his english has improved leaps and bounds. Glad to see everyone else has warmed up to him.

Paulo Costa is hilarious, I love that his personality is coming out, he's gonna be fun to watch, he's really entertaining.
I was on the fence about ole Paulo until this interview… I’m def a fan now… he’s low key hilarious and embraces it all in a joyful way
This is so crazy for me, Paulo didn't show so much personality before being confident in his English. Imagine how much personality we missing from fighters like Petr Yan or Weili

Paulo is now by far the funniest dude in the ufc. His gimmicks are so funny glad he got rid of whatever that manager was that had him furrowing his brow all the time he’s always smiling now
Gotta love Costa , he's awesome and a damn killer in the cage. Man the UFC would be crazy not to resign Costa. He's definitely one of the most entertaining fighters on the roster. Possible future title holder too

They're the perfect pair. Ariel is an amazing agitator and instigator. Paulo goes with the flow and keeps adding on. Ariel would be a legendary manager for him lol.
