Let's be real for God sake, Helwani is known for licking fights ass but for Izzy to say that it was only his legs is ridiculous. He wasn't protecting himself against the shots, he fell and got back up but still wasn't protecting himself and was getting hit real hard. I watched the replay many times and either adesanya is trying to sell the next fight or he's just lying. There is no way any sane person can watch that and come to the conclusion that he could have come back from that. Watching it live I kept saying 'double leg, take him down while he's in close range'. I think Izzy's pride didn't allow him to wrestle more but this is MMA so why not?

@@Team_Banchamek, this is simply Adesanya's PR team getting out in front of the issue of his getting beaten. They are doing their best to influence (if not) dictate the narrative. They are casting him off as being "humble", but I don't buy it. He is pulling on the heart-strings of those who don't see what they are doing. But in the end, his true colours will show again, leading up to the anticipated rematch. I know Ariel has to book the fighters he can get, but I am sort of disappointed that he didn't have the new Champ on, first. Anyhow, it is one thing to win the PR 'battle' but it is a completely different thing to win in the Octagon. Big respect to Alex Pereira for serving Adesanya a nice helping of humble pie.

He could easily told Alex Pareira to go thru the ranking before he could earn the title shot, but he man up and gave his nemesis the shot anyway. He fought well and confident. Credits to Alex; he made the most of it.
