Mya can tap dance but outside of 'love is like woah' I can't recall her doing it in her videos. Maybe she does in her stage routines. She tours a lot.

Any performer wanting to be able to be a dancer in a stage musical or on Broadway, awards show, backup for musical artists stage shows, needs to to be able to dance nearly every style of dance from hip hip, ballroom, tap, contemporary, jazz etc. Training in all of these styles is a normal part a dancers skills. Not just a 'back in the day' thing.
