My brother passed into Heaven in 2013, he was a great drummer, and Steve Gadd was one of his favorites.....him and Carmine Appice 🥁 Thank you Jasper for uploading this....one of my very favs, too! God bless all here, in Jesus’s Precious Name!🕊💕🙏🙋‍♀️🌹

Feb 2024. I was a big fan of the band 'Stuff'. It had 6 great studio musicians: Gadd & Richard Tee from this video, along with Eric Gale, Cornell Dupree, Gordon Edwards & Christopher Parker. I love finding those guys in these classic videos.

Saw him many times with Stuff ,The Gadd Gang He was my favorite piano player all time and his keyboard work ,Hammond/ electric piano on dozens of recordings from Areatha to Simon is stunning.I cried when he died

Never saw Steve Gadd smile so much during a Song. Great Band, great Music!

And Michael Brecker on Tenor sax, along with Chris Botti on trumpet, they sound like the best big band!

Nice. Gadd is an underappreciated maestro, IMO.

Love the brass in this - and Gadd - and everybody else there.

Steve is a star drummer, but don't forget the great Richard Tee on piano!! Good to see Richard's unique playing in action after all these years! RIP Richard. We will all miss you.

Tee and Gadd were very close friends. Gadd was devastated when Tee died.

Paul Simon's music has that unique quality of making you feel good. Utterly amazing.

So happy---I played this for my kid on a road trip and he was hooked--we listened to it 100 times and it never gets old.

A real toe tapper. Gets me swaying. Thank you to those fantastic musicians and Rhymin Simon.

I love the way that Mr. Simon loves and trusts the musicians that he works with. I love the way that the musicians with him ( whom, I would surmise) have never played with each other as a group, smile--and toss their ego aside. Each smile, as they pay homage to the god they love (Music) makes me happy and glad to have seen such wonderful artists have such fun.

I must've played this video 50 or more times since yesterday.... Can't get enough!

Cool to look at different time periods of Paul and this particular song. Tempo change, his voice changes, different groves but Steve is always smokin!!!!!

This was for MTV Unplugged. Paul didn't plan doing late in the evening because he thought it wouldn't work unplugged, so this was improvised as an encore. Simply amazing.

@jabrother When I was a kid, my mom used to bring me to every Paul Simon concert that came to town. She'd always point out "Mr. T" on piano, and in some small way, we shared in the sorrow of his death the next time Paul came to town without him. Rest in peace, Richard Tee. We loved you.
