🍀Paul Pierce ain't lying. He didn't invent it, but he DID make it popular in the 2000's. People need to realize that players who aren't freakishly athletic have to find other ways of scoring to be dominant. People called him out for not being athletic his whole career, now there not even acknowledging how he got past that, which was to be crafty, creative, smooth, strategic, and CLUCTH. Give the man his credit. It was known as "the Paul Pierce Stepback" for a reason. Just because he didn't create 9 f*ckin feet of space doesn't mean it wasn't effective. It was very effective. Matter of fact, the amount of space left should've given the defensive player an opportunity to defend or block, but they couldn't. Pulling something off, in tight spaces, or in the nick of time not only shows superior Clutch skill but also makes things more exciting. Think about it, which dunk would you rather see, LeBron dunking with no one around him, or Lebron dunking ferociously in the face of a 7 footer who was millimeters away from blocking it? Pierce isn't THE greatest but deserves his respect. He carried that garbage Celtics team for nearly a decade before back up arrived. HAll Of Famer, All-Star, Champion, Finals MVP. PAUL PIERCE #34🍀The Truth🏀

Paul Pierce telling the truth, didnt use the move that much because he didn’t have to, he could create space with the turn around fadeaway or his signature pull up midrange jumper. Same with Kobe and Tmac. Paul Pierce used that move more consistently than anyone in the game so yes he did make the move famous. Not saying he created the move, because you can find clips of Jerry west, Elgin Baylor, Oscar Robertson using the move, but in terms of making it famous I would say he’s the one!

@@ShanLoHoops You're missing the point. MJ would always make the right move and the list of moves from which he could choose to use was deep with each mastered.

Paul Pierce looks like he plays in slow motion, yet he beats his opponents off the dribble and can score. It’s such a Paradox 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

He probably created it or invented the move.. Because I've always enjoyed watching lakers vs boston game and he use stepback a lot at that time and as a kobe fan even kobe was a victim of Paul Pierce step back too..

@Dean man put some respect on his name. He was 8th all time on 3s. In a league that was not favorable towards offenses and 3s. Plus he has broken many Celtics records you know how hard that is. It's like breaking LA Lakers records. But you wouldn't know your just joining the trend in bashing him
