I cant even imagine getting a band together with some guys you met in your hometown and then waking up one morning to discover youre the biggest band in the world. Then suddenly people are chasing you through the streets, waiting outside your homes, and following you around the world. They had very little opportunity to do ANYTHING that wasn't Beatle related, which I believe had a huge part in their breakup. That coupled with Brian dying and leaving them to suddenly have to take care of all the things he had to, they never knew how to do any of it. They needed to get their own space and be themselves..as much as its sad that they broke up, I think it was the healthiest thing they could have done.

The Beatles will never be psychoanalyzed. You would have to know the depth of the brotherhood. Before they were world famous, they were brothers in day-to-day life. There were hardships and failures, long before there was any success. When they were thrown out of Germany they almost thru in the towel. They shared all the hardships as brothers and persevered.
"Is that a filmer?! I've seen the ads!" ... Hanging out, geeking over new tech toys and talking about girls; they're just a bunch of dorky boys who came together at the right time. I love it😊

I'm just giggling at the stuff they're talking about naturally, like teenage brothers, despite being among the biggest stars in the world. At 0:36 when Paul says "no, George...", I think that must've been an expression they used quite often when George said something blunt. There's a video on KZread of the making of Free as a Bird where Paul recalls George saying that a third John Lennon song demo tape was "rubbish" and Paul's response in the same tone was "no, George, this is John". Also, we have a wonderful moment here when Paul says to Ringo "is that a filmer?" Were you intimately involved in all of their families? And even if you were, unlikely though that may be, can you be certain that you're aware of all of the potentially relevant factors? There's no way you can be. What makes you think that's in any way a fair characterization of what is according to you the failure of the others to visit their families and neighborhoods as much as you think they should? What makes you think that they haven't tried, and then discovered that they were being constantly harassed by people they barely, if at all, ever knew? You sound like you think they owe you something, just for living where they grew up. I like how Ringo brought his toy and Paul immediately wanted to play with it. "Is it a filmer!!?"
These recordings were made by my dear friend, the late Fryderyk Gabowicz, who was with Klaus Voormann in London at the last time the three remaining Beatles were in a room together after the making of the anthology series. Klaus also received a beautiful Gibson LG 2 Acoustic guitar which he used on his last 2000 EpK of All Things Must Pass remaster. That guitar is on my wall. I see it and play it everyday in my studio.
I’ve never seen this. It might be my favourite video of the three of them. How lovely and they’re completely different when it’s one of them filming and now press. How delightful.
Really sweet moment captured here. You do get an idea of their friendship for sure. It was more than surface level.
At 0:05 Paul, framing George's face and you can almost read Paul's thought: "There's a brave lad-- is George." Like he's taking a mental photo of that moment.

I never bought all this BS that those 4 Dudes hated each others guts. I've read, seen and heard so much more to the contrary. Look, they were like Brothers and Brothers fight. Me and My Brother fought all the time. My Pop had to Ground Us once from EACH other. But the Good times so outweighed the Bad times, like 99 to 1. The Beatles were a Partnership or Family. They had to have had disagreements. It wouldn't have been natural otherwise. Definitely! I see them the same way. Near the end, they were like a kids suddenly orphaned without a parent (Brian). They had no idea of how to take care of their business or who to trust with their career. They didn't want to be the one to screw it up, but in the end they blamed each other for bad business decisions which ended their career together. But when tempers finally calmed, they came back to each other like family would.
The harmonies get me!! Jesus they are incredible
These two were buds a long time before anyone knew of them. I suspect they had the harmony thing down already before The Beatles. 😻
I must agree with George here. Harrison was probably the funniest Beatle in his own way. I always thought he shined in A Hard Day’s Night. Of course, all four of The Beatles were funny.
Well done guys, you were genuine. Even a fool can see you were like brothers. If I rewrote my comment it would be to change the word ‘were’ to ‘are’ in both the previous sentences! You definitely all passed the audition with flying colours. Peace and love.
This was them making Free as a Bird and Real Love....first time I heard Free as a Bird it made me weep. Greatest band that ever was.
That hug was felt by every Beatle fan watching!

So awesome, I wish they'd shown more of this when the Anthology was coming out back in the day. :D
"Vegetarian leather jacket" was savage. lol
Anthology was the last true statement by the Beatles. The greatest band that ever existed.
If only a moment, and the Beatles came an went!! Life is so fast, I wish I could have been on the Apple Building when they all played together for the LAST TIME!!! Thanks for that ride!!
George might have been the quiet one but when he said something it was usually funny as hell.

He was called "the quiet one" because of he was Ill during their tour in America and spent most of the time in his bed while Paul, John and Ringo were having fun. he used to be called the most handsome beatle (Paul was named the most beautiful beatle😂) . You can read in many books memories of people who were around the band, they say in early years George was most living, funny and flirty, he loved talking to journalists and the loved him. But later everything changed. I suppose his personal problems + Beatles made him more dark and depressed.
Paul...George...& Ringo together is from 1994...and Paul & George harmonizing is from early 1995...

Did anyone else hear a sort of symbiotic sine wave-esque sound at 00:54 when Paul & George were harmonizing? That gave me goosebumps!

Absolutely. It's the same sound that can be heard on so many Everly Brothers records.
Amazing video. Thank you very much 😉👍
I have never seen this footage. I need to find the George Harrison documentary. thanks for this wonderful post.
George was the baby of the group. He also wrote one of the best Beatles love songs, "Something".

Stuff like this is amazing!! 🤯🤩
God I wish we would’ve gotten more time with Harrison as I think his solo stuff was easily the best.
