I'm a Hawkwind fan ever since I saw them in late 1970. They were doing the material from the first album, minus "Hurry On Sundown" and "Mirror of Illusion". They had just one strobe flashing and the whole set was mindblowing. I also asked to do an interview with them during the Space Ritual tour and chatted with the new guy in the band, Lemmy. Incredible memory. I'm a great fan of Michael Moorcock and absolutely love the albums dealing with his works. "Warrior" and "Chronicle" contain some songs that are classics. I also miss the quirkyness of the Bob Calvert era and adore the quasi-Hawkwind album "Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters". Great to come across a fellow Hawkwind fan.

Nonagon Infinity is perfect to play on a loop over and over again like a never ending song. Flying Microtonal Banana is a beautiful experiment with microtones, so lots of musical notes closer together than what traditional instruments use. So like dividing all the guitar frets in half or into thirds to get more sounds in a way

Awesome choices! Those two albums from KG are the best place to start: I'm so glad you got the deluxe version of Nonagon Infinity with the bonus disk, I love the looping themes and lyrical storytelling; The Flying Microtonal Banana, with its specialized Microtonal tuning was my introduction into the band, but Nonagon quickly became my favorite. If you ever decide to get another one, I highly suggest your next one be Paper Mâché Dream Balloon.

I just love that T-Shirt !! I’ve been listening to a lot of Wings lately and I absolutely love the expanded edition of “Band On the Run” that up on that popular streaming service that starts with an S. Whenever I seem to say the name KZread deletes my posts lol. Cheers,Larry. ✌️🇨🇦

I’m so excited for your KGLW journey. I’m on that journey too and listening to them all in chronological order. I’ve heard 15 so far so I still have work to do 😅. Future Days is my FAVORITE Can album actually

Thanks for this great video Larry. I have Lucas book on Band On The Run on order, looking forward to reading that. I have an older Brother who was into Hawkwind and Can, but I got to meet and speak to Lemmy after a Motorhead Gig back in the early 2000's. He was an absolute Gentleman, and also a very funny guy. So pleased I got to shake his hand. The guys from King Gizzard look like guest stars in the original Star Trek series in the CD booklet. Any how, you enjoy your weekend and enjoy those albums my friend...

Can are one of my favourite bands Larry. I love both Tago Mago and Future Days. You should check out Monster Movie with Malcom Mooney on vocals plus some of the post Damo Suzuki albums especially Soon Over Babaluma. Those Hawkwind albums are great, in fact I'm sure I read somewhere that Dave Brock liked Can and was influenced by them (but I could have imagined that!). I am also going to see them live in August for the first time since the late eighties.

Sorry, but perhaps you have missed a few videos, as I never just do videos on The Beatles. In the past week alone I have done 6 videos on music snobs, music genres, albums covers without text ranked, guess the album cover with Mollie and Sparks 50th anniversary. I've done ONE video on The Beatles reviewing Let It Be this month. I also post daily on my second channel and post a wide variety of videos there. I have a rock music playlist with hundreds of non-related Beatles artists, and many videos on Led Zeppelin, Yes, The Moody Blues, Frank Zappa, Queen, Lou Reed, etc..etc..etc... Thank you.

Paul's a musical genius Larry but he's just a guy and he can do some dumb things just like the rest of us,his going to Lagos was one of them, why wouldn't he check out the place before going there?,the studio wasn't complete and it wasn't the best place to go to make an album, there were better places to go to,oh well they all survived and they did get a great album out of it.
