One of my favorite instances of Paul's sense of humor was one where he was demonstrating a series of pistols. When he got to the Hi Point, he wore an outfit indicative of a typical Hi Point owner. He had cargo shorts, some punk or black metal band T shirt, a flanel shirt converted to a vest by tearing the sleeves off, old combat boots and long black socks. It was such a nuanced thing because it wasn't an over the top costume, but for those of us who really know people like that, it captured the essence perfectly. Paul is one of those people for whom his presentations and his self for that matter seem very structured, so anytime he steps outside of what you'd expect, it's almost inherently amusing. Like when he was trying to smoke cigarettes inside that old camper. All his holiday specials are also just that. Special. Even if I'm not particularly enthused for a holiday, or perhaps just whatever instance of it is happening, there is an undeniable auspicious feeling on those days. Probably if for no other reason than the countless others who are celebrating. It just puts something nice in the air. Paul's holiday episodes add another layer to that atmosphere. They always feel much more intimate. Like if you ran into your teacher over a school break. It would be easy to discover youtubes character limit by just stating Paul's accolades, and positive qualities, but seeing how he's a very humble man, and very private in regards to his more personal details, I'll just leave at that. I know that I'm so far from alone in offering him my most genuine gratitude and sincerest well wishes.

I just met the man at his seminar in Oregon & he is very humble well spoken and knowledgeable. Just an all around fine human being with character and integrity. It was my honor & privilege to listen to him for 4 hours & meet him. Praying for Paul! 🙏

I agree, about Paul's humor. It's VERY witty, but it's SOOOOOO subtle -- in fact, it's easy to miss it. He'll say something and keep going, and you're like "Wait! Did he just say ______?!?!" and then have to replay to catch it, to find out that yes, YES, he DID say such-and-such funny thing! Great guy! I loved all his chats; to me, they're more like fireside chats between two friends just having coffee together, talking about this or that. Hell of a guy.

I owe Paul Harrell thanks as well. He mentioned me just one time, in a brief statement about revolvers. Had about 30 people message me that he mentioned me. I think I went from like 5,000 to 10,000 subs in a couple weeks.
