There was something SO MAGICAL about 90's Country music & Patty was a big part of that. I remember hearing this song for this first time & it just flew all over me. The musical composition, her haunting honest voice & that bridge.... man it moved me & still does every single time. And that STEEL GUITAR 🙌🙌🙌

I’ll never forget the first time I heard this song. My alarm went off to get up for work in August ‘96. and this song was playing. I laid there and listened to the whole thing and fell in love with it immediately. The song just came out on country radio. I already loved Patti Loveless and I was so happy when I realized I already had the trouble with the truth CD. I listen to that song probably 100 times the entire hot Summer Day and night. 26 years later, it’s still one of my all-time favorite songs! Just a pure country classic.

Beautiful woman inside and out, classy, respectful, smart with amazing talent to go with it. In today's music it's a rarity. Music is a reflection of society, garbage can only sell if the audience is garbage, sorry to be truthful about it, but truth is a hard pill to swallow. Sad times, I'm just glad I got to live through some of the best music created.

There is no country music today
What I wouldn't give if country music still sounded like this! Most of today's singers regardless of whether they're male or female can't even come up to the bottom of Patty's shoes! She has a voice that angels could be forgiven for being jealous of and she's an incredibly beautiful lady as well.
This is what real country music sounded like decades ago. Hardly any good music now, sad to say.
what a wonderful song.....! Beautiful Voice...always loved her singing!!!
The song hits different in your 30s. Rather than your teens. Wow. She's amazing. You don't know me anymore? Come on, we've all felt that, and this! 😢
If only was music like this today.
Patty's voice and the background music puts this song on my list of the greatest songs of all time
She did this video about 40 miles from where I lived. She is living proof you don't have to be half naked and screaming to make beautiful music with class.these people these days think the less they have on or the more the shake the better they are. Country music should be about good values not a peep show or twerking your but. Love this song and Patty .Will never get old.

Ahhh.. the 90’s country western scene i once right in the middle of it...i sang Country western songs at our local karaoke clubs and attended a Tracy Lawrence concert at Cotton Eyed Joe in Charlotte.. i was the only Asian in the place!!

Patty Loveless what can I say truly an individual Talent with a unique sound all unto her self. sometimes I wonder why she didn't receive more recognition but then again I think about the 80s and 90s were such a mass with Talent I figure it was just a matter of getting lost in the totality of what was probably the Platinum era of country music I truly believe she belongs up there with the icons of country music with Loretta ,dolly, and Tammy.
Ooh my. What a lovely song, a true classic without a doubt.
